Welcome to Suzanne Cory High School, a prestigious institution located in Werribee, Melbourne's western suburbs. Established in 2011, Suzanne Cory High School is a co-educational, selective entry government school catering to students in Years 9-12. It is the only school of its kind in the western region of Melbourne.

Our primary goal at Suzanne Cory High School is to provide highly able students with a challenging and tailored educational experience that leads to outstanding outcomes and pathways into tertiary education. With a total enrollment of 900 students from Years 9 to 12, originating from 84 different schools, both government and non-government schools are equally represented within our diverse student body.

At Suzanne Cory High School, we place a strong emphasis on academic excellence. Our comprehensive curriculum and teaching and learning model are based on internationally-recognized best practice research for students with high levels of achievement. We strive to create a challenging and rigorous academic environment for intellectually and creatively gifted students, complemented by a rich co-curricular program designed to extend their learning.

To secure a place at Suzanne Cory High School, prospective students must first sit a compulsory entrance examination. These examinations, conducted by the Victorian Department of Education and Training, occur mid-year for enrollment in the following year.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to meet the individual needs of our students. We compact the school curriculum to enable a faster pace of learning, accelerate the entry of students into VCE as appropriate, and enrich and broaden the educational experience of our uniquely talented students.

In addition to our comprehensive curriculum, Suzanne Cory High School offers a robust Co-Curricular Program that aims to develop students' citizenship, creativity, and leadership skills. This program enriches and extends students' learning and school engagement, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.

Suzanne Cory High School is one of only four Selective Entry Schools in Victoria. Unlike SEAL Programs, Selective Entry Schools are specifically designed for academically gifted students, providing them with the environment and curriculum necessary to reach their full potential.

Our school takes inspiration from its namesake, Professor Suzanne Cory, one of Australia's most distinguished molecular biologists. Her contributions to Australian science inform the philosophy and educational approach of Suzanne Cory High School.
