"My experience this time is better than previous reviews. The process was fast, and customer service was good too. I actually was a bit surprised as I’ve heard from word of mouth that how horrendous the service is over here. Hope they can maintain their standard of services and customer service skills."
"It's shameful how you treat your own citizens. It's almost impossible to get any help at all. Very limited government services being offered - mostly need to be done domestically so I don't quite get what's the point of having an embassy here. Don't even bother with calling nowadays as they won't answer (you'll be on hold forever). Had to get my passport renewed a few years back and the experience was horrendous. They made us all get our photos redone on the day for no reason other than what I think is soliciting business for some affiliated photography studio, who slabbed on dirty public-use make up on my face without consent. If they didn't accept any ID photos from pharmacies etc, should have just said so in the first place. Don't make people run around for nothing. One more thing, ever since the passport renewable with the embassy, I started receiving multiple scam calls a day, targeting mandarin speakers. I'm not sure if they had a security data leak or anyone sold my data, my phone has become practically unusable since. Get yourself sorted as the official face of China. I'm not feeling the patriotic love here."
"#attitude #efficieny #documents #verification #help #rude #impatient Worst experience ever, the women behind the tables is not helpful at all repeatedly reiterating that applicants to read instructions, condescending tone of voice, non-empathetic attitude. If there is by all means necessary I would not wish to present myself to this place ever again, it is as though they do not wish for people to return to China and do not work to help their fellow "tong zhi" countrymen. And to be honest the entire place is not busy at all but the desk counter is not willing to spend time to help and re-direct just simply dismissing the people that is coming into the centre. Tip: Chinese people that come to Australia should just give up your pathetic 3rd world China passport because wherever you go requires a visa. Also if China is so great don't settle in Australia and get a PR citizenship or an education I'm sure China can accommodate its people. Long Live Mao Ze Dong Amen"
"Annoyed at the experience with them: Passport arrived and I received no email to collect it. The phone kept disconnecting and then finally the 7th call connected. Couldn't book an appointment to collect because I had to send an email (even though I had no idea if they received my passport or not) and call at a different time and speak to a specific staff in charge of booking appointments. I can understand if it takes time to process and email to book collection appointment. But this is a passport, it's a very important piece of document. It would be nice if we got a confirmation or acknowledgement that they have received our passport. If I knew that this process was going to take so much time, I would have paid for a flight and picked up my passport from the issuing country. There isn't even an estimated wait time."
"Is there any chance that these spam call that are saying they are coming from the Chinese Embassy can be tracked down and stopped. My daughter got 3 in one day and I just got one before. I have blocked every number but they are still calling so getting rid of them all would be nice, thank-you"
