Additionally, our students enrolled in the Victorian Certificate for Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education & Training (VET), and School-Based Apprenticeship & Training (SBAT) programs have been recognized by the Hume and Whittlesea Local Learning Education Network for their outstanding performance.
Our commitment to holistic education extends beyond academics. We encourage our students to explore their creativity and develop their talents. The Year 9 art class has recently worked on a project focusing on social issues, producing stunning reduction linoleum prints. We also foster a strong sense of community and sportsmanship, as evident in the annual staff and student football match, where the game is played with great spirit.
We are proud of our students' athletic achievements as well. James Wilcox and David Geissler have both qualified for the next stage of the Cross Country State Championship, showcasing their dedication and talent. Yonatan, another student, recently participated in the Judo National Championships, securing an impressive third place in his weight division in Cadets.

"I go here and this school is ok, it's pretty average, but much better than my primary school (Killara)"
"DO NOT send your children to this school... teachers will bully, degrade and victim blame students"
"I graduated just last year when the school was under the new principal, Mr. Warwick Beynon. The school has since taken a more well-being centric approach towards students, and has since been extraordinary with empathy for one another, even with my peer's attitudes towards each other, not just on a professional level. My teachers had continuously gone the extra mile for myself and each of my classmates. If you would like your children to feel heard and appreciated, I completely recommend going to SDC because I am confident they will do what they can to lift up your kids and encourage them. From a curricular standpoint, the topics are digestible, and the teachers encourage students to meet with them after school or during breaks so that they can offer additional support if they don't quite understand their concepts. Beautiful teaching and really good classes."
