Reviews of John Blythe Child Psychology Blacktown
"The chubby lady at the front reception was quite rude and spoke in a very passive aggressive tone when we forgot to show the QR code on the way in. It was a genuine mistake on our part but she could've reminded us in a much nicer way. Definitely put us off from going here."
"I have been attending this clinic for over 7 years and my child and I are very happy with the quality of service. The receptionists are very welcoming and provide practical advice about organising appointments and plans. The expertise, understanding and level of care of the psychologist is exceptional. During the uncertain times of COVID-19, they were able to offer the option of online face to face telehealth appointments which allowed us to continue with our appointments in the safety of our home. Thank you for your wonderful service. Highly recommended."
"The most disrespectful receptionists and workers I've ever seen. If there was a minus 5 that's what I'd give. Wish I never bothered coming to this place, complete waste of me and my kids time. The staff there need there own psychologists. Don't waste your time and money! Reply to owner: As it conveniently won't allow me to reply to your comment, I will reply here. That's complete rubbish. I told you she had been cleared by a gp for having tonsilitis and that I could show you that. I understand the severity of protocol for covid19 as I am a nurse myself, but she was not any risk for it. I also never received any call the next day or any voicemail, and I wouldn't have returned even if you did. You all showed lack of compassion or basic human decency and I will never forget it. I've never written a review like this but I really don't want anyone to have to go through what I want through at your clinic. I have enough things to worry about then to deal with that, and I'm sure everyone else does to."
"use to be good there, now you are just another number! no frequent appointments like promised shouldn't take my son 6 months between appointments especially with threats of self harm! have gone elsewhere now and his is thriving and doing so much better! its a shame this place has changed"
"So disappointed. Seven years ago they misdiagnosed my son. Was referred to Aspect where he was diagnosed with ASD lvl 2. We find ourselves back at JBCP due to lack of availability anywhere else. Son is now 14 and struggling, self managed through the NDIS are on fortnightly visits at $216 a visit, seems if we were claiming through the NDIS it would be done at a cheaper rate but when questioned it was dismissed as not so. Now Four appointments in we have found that they have not rebooked for on going appointments and we no longer have a placement for the regular visits. I do not hold the psychologists responsible for this, surely the receptionist would advise that we will need to schedule in further visits when I last attended with my son and handed over another $216. The lack of care from reception is increasingly frustrating, it really is not ticket science. I work full-time with Wednesday being my only day off and now they have no vacancies. Hmmm so much for continuity of treatment. Just as he works up a rapport with the psychologist. This is the only therapy we access through the NDIS and the care factor that we have experienced through the front desk staff from the onset has been dismal. Please consider some further admin training for the first point of call employees in the near future."
