Formerly known as Henson Park Hotel, our institution has a rich history and holds a special place in the hearts of the inner-west community. With a focus on supporting and serving the best from our local neighborhood, we are proud to be a bar, establishment, and point of interest in the area.

Step into our front bar, a humble and honest working-class bar that represents the spirit of the community. The back dining area pays homage to its art deco roots, creating a unique and nostalgic atmosphere. Our leafy beer garden is a haven for families, with a large adjoining children's area that welcomes children of all ages.

At Henson Park Hotel, our priority is quality, seasonality, and sustainability. We support ethical and responsible practices, ensuring that the produce we use is of the highest integrity. Our menu offers a range of options, and we currently offer a take-away menu for those who prefer to enjoy our delicious offerings at home. You can either pop into our bistro to order or call ahead for pick-up.

When it comes to beverages, we have a rotating range of draught beer available, as well as a well-stocked bottle shop with locally brewed craft beers and imported options. Wine enthusiasts will be delighted by our extensive selection of Australian and imported wines, including minimal intervention wines. For a quick grab-and-go option, we also offer jam jar cocktails.

If you can't find what you're looking for in our beer fridges, don't worry! You can also take away your favorite tap beer in a jar. We also take reservations every day of the week, accommodating a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 20 persons. Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting table requests, and please note that dogs are only allowed in our outdoor area.

To ensure a smooth dining experience, all bookings must be seated within 15 minutes of the reservation time. If you're running late, simply give us a call, and we'll do our best to arrange an alternative sitting. We believe in the importance of eating together, so the number of guests you book is the number of seats you will be allocated.

At The Henson, we have a strong commitment to giving back to the community. We proudly sponsor Australia's oldest Rugby League football clubs, a Newtown home game at Henson Park being a definitive Sydney cultural experience. We also support a soccer club with memberships in the thousands, which is the heartbeat of the Inner West soccer community. Additionally, we contribute to a sports club that develops cricket skills, players, teams, and the spirit of cricket in Sydney's inner west.

We are open from Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 am to 11 pm, Thursday from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 12 am, and Sunday from 11:30 am to 10 pm. Our kitchen operates from Monday to Friday, with a break between 3 pm and 5 pm.
