"I have been at this place many times. The coffee is delicious and so it is the food they serve. The cakes are handmade (some of them are traditional Italian cakes). The pasta dishes are good and if you are in a hurry you can order the wrap with bacon, egg and avocado which is big and full of flavour. They have created an Italian feel with the beautiful outdoor terrace that attracts many people and creates a vibrant atmosphere. I have rated 4 in service because on a Saturday I asked for a table and the waiter rushed me in one of the available tables without giving me any option to choose between available tables."
"La Bottega in Leichardt is a charming and pet-friendly restaurant that offers a unique experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner's adorable puppies freely roaming around. Their photo on the menu revealed their special status. The restaurant impressed us with delicious meals, generous portions, and friendly staff with big smiles. They even had a "pup-cake" for sale, catering to furry companions. Overall, it was a joyful and memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!"
"I recently visited this cafe and had a mixed experience with the food and beverages. While the cafe had its highlights, there were certain aspects that left me underwhelmed. Let's start with the beverages. The orange juice, priced at $8, seemed overpriced considering it was similar to what you can find in a supermarket for a fraction of the cost. Additionally, the taste was not exceptional and had a somewhat artificial flavor. The mango smoothie was meh, nothing extraordinary. The latte lacked that special touch to make it stand out. On the other hand, the mocha was described too strong, but that's purely a matter of personal preference. Moving on to the food, The Big Vegetarian Breakfast left much to be desired. The tomatoes were sad, and the mushrooms were bland, resulting in an overall underwhelming experience. Despite some dishes being visually appealing, this particular dish didn't offer much in terms of taste. It was also mentioned that the portion size was not sufficient for a "big" breakfast. The haloumi, beetroot relish, sautéed spinach, and warm focaccia combination was decent. However, the Eggs Benedict was average and messy to eat, although this could be expected from a dish like Eggs Benedict. There’s not much to say about the chips, they tasted great but the serving size was a bit small. It's worth noting that while the food didn't impress, the customer service at La Bottega Café was impeccable. The waitress created a welcoming atmosphere, and the manager was friendly and outgoing. Additionally, the cafe is dog-friendly, which adds to its charm. The cafe creates a visually pleasing atmosphere, especially on sunny days when the natural light floods the space. The ambiance is enhanced by the charming surroundings, making it a delightful place to spend time. Adding to the appeal, the presence of two puppy mascots that roam around the cafe adds an extra touch of warmth and joy. These cuties contribute to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making the cafe feel even more inviting. Taking all factors into account, La Bottega Café receives an overall rating of 3 stars. The average food was compensated to some extent by the appealing presentation and exceptional customer service. If you're seeking a pleasant atmosphere and great service, this might be the place for you. However, if you're primarily looking for exceptional food, you might want to explore other options."
"I recently had a lovely brunch/lunch La Bottega . This cafe is so nicely decorated and it has a real vibe! It almost gives you that feeling of being on holiday, but in your own city. I’m especially excited to have this place nearby as it’s local to me. ‘La Bottega’ means the Artist’s Workshop. The owners work with artist’s and the paintings adorn the walls at this super cute cafe. There even a portrait of the owner. They are incredibly dog friendly here. Years ago I remember one of my friend’s telling me about this hotel she was staying in because there was a dog that greeted everyone at the front lobby. After meeting the absolutely gorgeous Pongo, I totally get it. It’s so hard to find pet friendly places, so this is a bit plus. Onto the food! Everything is so nicely prepared here. From perfectly cooked eggs on the Eggs Benedict to the stunning Mediterranean Breakfast. My favourite dish was the garlic prawn pasta. It has bit fresh juicy prawns and lovely flavours. The servings here are also super generous. You won’t be disappointed. I’m also picky about my skin iced lattes and the one here was awesome. I will definitely be back!"
