Welcome to Croydon Central Kindergarten, located in the heart of Croydon at Civic Square, 7. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

At Croydon Central Kindergarten, we offer 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs in a supported, play-based environment. We believe that children thrive when they feel safe and supported in their learning environment, and we have created a space that reflects this belief.

Our approach to education centers around building understanding through play, as we believe it is the most effective way for children to learn. We encourage children to play independently, be part of small groups, and develop a sense of belonging within our preschool team. Through a wide range of open-ended activities, children have the opportunity to develop skills, gain independence, build confidence, explore ideas, develop relationships, and communicate with others.

As an accredited kindergarten program, Croydon Central Kindergarten proudly displays the Kinder tick, providing families with confidence in the quality of our program. Excursions are a key part of our curriculum, allowing children to explore the local area and develop a deeper connection to their community.

We also celebrate diversity and teach children about different cultures and traditions through our multicultural curriculum. Throughout the year, we commemorate various cultural holidays, fostering an appreciation for diversity.

To keep families connected, we utilize Storypark, an online platform that allows our educators to share news, updates, progress, and exciting moments from kinder to home. We believe in the importance of sun safety and are official participants in the SunSmart program, ensuring the well-being of our staff and children.

At Croydon Central Kindergarten, we prioritize the safeguarding of children and young people, creating safe and fun environments for them to flourish. Our teaching and approach to early learning are guided by our kindergarten's philosophy, which aligns with the National Quality Framework and informs all our operations and daily practices.

Our registration process is managed by MIKA's Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association). We offer both 4 year old and 3 year old free kindergarten programs as mixed-age groups. Please note that session times may be subject to change prior to kinder offers being made.
