"I had a great experience with Dr Alahakoon (Indika) as my obstetrician. Being my first pregnancy, I found her professional and thorough. She gave me the time I needed and answered my queries throughout the pregnancy. In the final weeks of my pregnancy issues arose. I felt afraid and vulnerable, Indika guided us through this scary time well. We trusted her professional advice. I now have a beautiful baby girl. I would also like to mention my labour was incredible. I am so grateful my experience was positive and empowering. I have Indika and Marian Piper (along with my partner) to thank. I will return to Indika for my next child."

After having issues with my previous c sections, she came to my rescue and fixed all the issues I had (internally) Her staff are amazing , she is a Gods sent , and I can't thank her enough. "Dr Indika Alahakoon, is an angel. I could not praise her high enough, throughout my pregnancy and labour could not have been treated any better. She took such great care of me and my baby, not only physically but emotionally was like a labour mum. While in labour throughout the night, calling to check in on me at all hours, and understanding and listening to me and what I want throughout and making choices with me. "I attempted a natural birth which ended in an emergency C section. Indika was comforting and assured me that she would take good care of me. When they wheeled me into the theatre I was naturally very VERY nervous. Indika put her hand on my shoulder, looked at her team and said 'where is the music lets get this party started.' When I heard this, I immediately relaxed as I knew she had it all under control. The music relaxed me too and I started to get really excited to meet my little girl for the first time. Not only did she manage to fit my larger size baby out a very small incision that she had created. She delivered my girl very safely and took much care in stitching me up in a clean, straight and precise way. I am in love with my first birthing experience and I couldn't thank Indika enough for this. I am now due with my second (in 6 weeks) and can't wait to go through it all again. I wouldn't have anyone else but Indika."

"Dr Indika brought our first baby, our dear daughter into the world. Dr Indika was an incredible support throughout, saying only what needed to be said to help our baby come out as healthy as possible and doing so with grace, sensitivity and with a gentle nature. She helped us adjust key vitamin levels at the right times, warned us on diet control early, gave us choices and helped us achieve our choices with incredible genuineness. Dr Indika has an incredible depth of knowledge and experience, but is the most humble person I know. We found she will err on the side of caution, to maximise the chances of your baby coming out as best as possible. We love our baby girl so much and thank Dr Indika for everything she did. You will always be part of our memory, and we can't thank you enough! We didn't find the fees to be exorbinate, and in fact found that given Dr Indika's knowledge, experience and candour, that they were incredibly humble for what she gives you. Also there were no surprises. We started in public, but just had a feeling to go private. We did give birth in public at Westmead and it was a very well resourced experience. It carries a fee, but if you go OB care + birth + public it will come under $10k roughly. Anyway, we wish you the best of luck with your birth and can highly recommend Dr Indika!"
