Reviews of Nelson Hotel
"Great Bistro - Definitely Steaks Variety of Beer - Beer Wheel plus Prizes Beer Garden Big Screens Gaming Room Friendly helpful Staff Reasonable pricing Great atmosphere Art Deco lounge bar Meet your Locals Pop in this rarity Art Deco Pub & Say G’Day."
"Went looking for a pub roast but was too late they sold out. I had the best parmigiana I've had in a pub. And the salad, though lacking a variety of ingredients, was fresh and crisp, unheard of in a pub in my experience. Great fireplace on these winter evenings."
"It’s a very big space. Would be nice if they had big sports screens for big nights. The food is delicious. I love their barramundi fish with chips with gravy. Good for lunch takeaway."
"Classic 40’s pub with beer garden Craft includes Waywards, Grifter and more than one Young Henry’s on tap here (dog friendly too)"
"First I have to say I’m giving 3 stars thanks to the service, otherwise it will be a 2 . The staff is nice and friendly. However, the food it’s quite average, the prices do not match the quality of the food. I went on a Friday night, we ordered two sirloin steaks, and the meat was hard and tasteless. The sauce had an old taste. The fries were doubled fried and oily. We visit different pubs on a weekly basis and we had better meals for half of the price. I will recommend it for drinks, but definitely not for food."
