"As locals we have been visiting Brookvale Hotel for 24 years but sadly last night was probably the last time we will be eating here! Firstly our order was incorrect but we chose to take the food as is as our party of 5 wished to eat all at once. But the food was just warm as one dish took longer than the rest and we watched the food sit in the service area for quiet awhile. The steak in the steak sandwich was too tough to eat and the pasta laid sadly in a bath of oil. The chicken was dry and overcooked. We were excited to introduce our friends to this much loved local but left embarrassed and disappointed. The only reason I gave 2 stars was the staff were very nice! Improve the food and this place could once again be a real winner!"
