"August 2023 first time here. My reviews and thoughts are my own and from my experience on the day. Ordered the beef pho, grilled abalone and Mekong clay pot fish with rice at midday. First impressions is the beautiful decor and ambience, reminiscent of my childhood migrating to Australia as a refugee living in Richmond. Flavours and aromatics weren’t as hoped for. The beef pho was our starter and it did not disappoint! Broth is rich and beefy not the clear ones full of msg. Uncle roger would approved of the quantity of msg. The thinly sliced beef complimented the long, unbroken, pho strands. Accompanying the beef as an accent is the authentic Vietnamese chilli sauce and their chilli oil. I would personally bottle that chilli oil to go and dunk any braised meats in it!! Mike Chen has competition on his chilli oil brand. Overall, I’d come back every day for the pho. Best in Springvale for now. I haven’t been back to any of the high rating pho restaurants in Springvale for the last six months or year. Read my other reviews for reasons. The Mekong clay pot fish was sweet savoury with a hint of chilli. The rice portion was for a petite diner. Overall, I’d prefer the braised clay pot fish from the other restaurants around because it’s a tad salty sweet and chilli that has been simmered in the clay pot accentuating the earthiness of the basa fish or cat fish. The grilled green lip abalone with fried spring onions and crushed roasted peanuts sprinkled on top added extra crunch to the tender mollusks. The sweet chilli fish sauce delivers the diner back to Vietnam but it did require a Vietnamese mint to chase it down. Would I suggest this restaurant? Hell yea!!’ Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. Prices are great and comparable. Morning take out specials are awesome with a bowl of pho and Viet coffee for $15!!!"
"Usual Sunday after a great badminton game when everyone was hungry. Service & Ambience [2]. Its unfortunate a low 2 which I don't usually give. The restaurant is packed but is also narrow. In few occasions my chair is knocked few times from the customer behind. Service, I am not sure they are lack of staff or simply can't cope with the crowd. We have to wait to place order, likewise for other customers who arrived about the same time. There was a birthday celebration with a group of 10 people. I am sure the staff is trying their best but guess busy time is not at their best. Food [3]. The food should deserve a 4 but, some dishes are not as expected perhaps this place serves fusion food not authentic Vietnamese. The soft shelf crab seems too soft and more towards soggy, sweet and sour chicken lack the sweet or sour taste while the green prawn is just prawn, can't taste what's that green. Best we found is the lamb rack. And lastly we left the place with our clothing smelled!"
"Thơm ngon! Best Vietnamese Pho I have ever had. Even better when it's Wagyu Beef Pho. To put my money where my mouth is, my first visit was last week & I am back a week later. Already planning my next trip next week. Everything in their menu is gluten-free. No MSG so no thirsty feeling after the meal. No nonsense food & prepared only with good ingredients. This can clearly be tasted in the clear & tasty the broth. Portion & price of the dishes are of great value. Nam who attended to us was very Friendly & attentive. Gave us good recommendations. Dishes were served really quick as well. Highly Recommended. Updates: Visited the second time in a month. This time we tried some new dishes. Sweet Snails in Garlic Butter Sauce - All I can is WOW! The sauce is addictive Signature Lamb Ribs - Best I have tasted! The lamb is succulent & tasty. Paired with the sweet brown sauce & apple salad on the side. Made another booking for next couple of week. Keep it Up!"
"We had a delicious feast last night at Le Feu in Springvale! I’ve been to a few Le Feu locations before but this was my first visit to the Springvale location which includes the Hot Pot Au Pho addition. All of our food was absolutely delicious and so flavourful. I was the only coeliac, with the other 3 able to eat normally, but everyone was raving about their meal. I highly recommend the chicken bao bun and the lemongrass chicken. They are always a winner. The Le Feu team are always so hospitable and go out of their way to give the absolute best customer service every single time, so please make sure to visit one of their locations soon!"
"We had dinner at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with the large menu. Noticed a little bit of French influence in the food. Food was prompt and generous in size. Service was excellent and friendly as well. Bookings would be recommended as they get very busy during peak hours. Park on the roadside at the front of the shop or at the parking area nearby."
