Cumberland Council, under which Guildford West Children’s Centre operates, acknowledges and pays respect to the Darug Nation and People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is situated. We also recognize the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Furthermore, we extend this acknowledgment to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living within the Cumberland LGA. We are committed to working closely with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to promote reconciliation within the area.
