"Five years ago! I know a staff that's works there so my son was well look up too."
"Great staff who really care and look after your kids. My boy loves it here. They are council run so not a dodgy home place so you can leave your kids here with peace of mind."
"My son attended this daycare for about half a year and cried every time I dropped him off. The teachers seemed like they were lovely people, but now when I look back there were huge deficits in caring for my son. The teachers lacked willingness to take responsibility for the things that happen to my child. My son was barely eating at school and would come home starving. The school serves morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea so I'm not exactly sure how much he actually ate. What I do know is the teacher did not really help him expand his tastes for the foods served at the child care. On one occasion, when I visited the child care at the afternoon tea. A teacher gave an order to only serve my son "Apple" from everything they had on the platter. He was withdrawn at school and I often would see him standing by himself when I pick up, When I discussed my son progress at the daycare, they implied the problem was with my son having social/verbal development issues. The final incident at this daycare was when I happen to be near the children's playground I heard desperate crying and I peeked through and it was my son. I waited a moment to see if he will be attended. He was just left alone crying. We have moved to a different daycare. He doesn't cry when I drop him off and has developed leaps and bounds. Looking back at my experience here at St Johns Park I am shocked and appalled."
"Based on my experience over the past year with my first child. Good: - open friendly staff - very open to telling me about my child's day and how he has been when asked. - very attentive to changes in my child's behaviour, and alway informing me of any. - inolving, where parents are invited to participate in activities or in sessions for child's well being. - meals are planned to balance children's diet, all considerations taken for any dietary concerns may have. Bad: - nothing glaring - facilities are council run, so any issues with say plumbing have to go through that beauracracy. P.s. possibly looking at this with rose coloured lenses due to our personal experiences."
