XS Espresso - UNSW

"Never been to a place like this. The signature thick shake taste like diabetes. Their special must be the flavored butter which is covered with veggies, and eggs… the brunch taste like fatty liver. However, their service is impressive, after I ask to order something three times... the lady with a braided hair rope still pretends I didn't say anything. I have been grateful if she served me anything and I always say thank you. But her face is like” Shut up, I don't want to hear even a word from you.” would never come back"

"Drove 40 minutes to enjoy the food here posted all over Instagram to be severely disappoint. I ordered an açai bowl from the menu to be told that they have no fruit and is that okay? I also ordered from the monthly special being a bueno donut chips for the person taking my order to say sorry we don’t have any bueno chocolate so is that okay without it ? For a monthly special to then not even have the main part is abit stupid. I also ordered a cookies and cream latte which came out to the table with no Oreos like the photo. Before our food came out the waitress came to our table and said for the pancakes with fruit and the bueno donut fries which had fruit she said we don’t have strawberries so are we happy with just bananas. We had already paid for our meal so we didn’t have a choice. The lengthy service of almost 40mins yes for our entire meal when we were the only customers in the store. I will never go back to an xs expresso store. Overpriced, not having simple ingredients and poor customer service."

"Waited 35 minutes for takeaway sweet potato wedges. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked the barista to check on its progress and was told that they weren't up to my docket yet but they would start making it now since I asked. I waited an additional 15 minutes for the wedges and they turned out burnt and oversalted. I was not offered a refund or even an apology and the staff acted like I should be grateful that they moved my order up. It's unacceptable that customers are not told that it could be more than a 30 minute wait for takeaway before they put in their order. Even though I work right upstairs from XS, I will go anywhere else on campus or in Randwick before I purchase food from XS again."

"Staff were nice and welcoming! Nice place for breakfast, we tried the XS stack and three-topping omelet and both were delicious. The Berry Blast was great. We are yet to try the coffee at this branch. But the other branch in Bondi had a great coffee. Would love to come again for sure."
