Reviews of Gosford Railway Cafe
"Please please please learn how to make a coffee so we can get our morning hit."
"Could not believe I was abused by the one and only staff member. I was standing near the reading the platform sign to determine if there was time to make a purchase. When I walked in I was abused for the time I took as the staff member saw me waiting near the door. "What you had to wait for her to walk out the back before you came." Lovely greating and tone. "What do you want". I was obviously too much trouble for her so I left. As a daily commuter I'll make my purchases upstairs in future."
"Friendly helpful service but mostly horrible food. I was looking for vegetarian options. There were three identical patties but the staff member thought only one was vegetarian and didn't want to sell me a fish cake by mistake. I appreciated that. I bought two potato cakes and an egg and lettuce sandwich on wholemeal bread too. She gave me the option of white bread or wholemeal which was good. The patty was hot and tasty but the potato cakes were ancient and really hard to chew, and the sandwich was tasteless and stale. Freshly made and cooked food would be better. I probably won't go back."
"I have regularly been here and every time have been disaponted with the exception of one lovely staff member who is always happy to chat and has great customer service skills. Other staff have little to no skill and really shouldn't be working here. Upon waiting for my train Tuesday last week i heard a male staff member yelling and screaming at one of the female staff from the platform I was on. To say I was disgusted is an understatement. No one should ever be spoken to the way he spoke to her.. staff are consistently treated with no respect. Makes for a bad experience.."
"The worst customer service I've ever received. I walked in about 10 minutes before they closed, and not even a few seconds into me looking at what they offered I was met with "look mate, do you want a bloody sandwich or what." from the lady working there. I then replied that I was simply looking at what they had, and then got "yeah yeah okay mate, hurry up then, I have to close in a minute.". I understand not wanting customers to stay past closing, but a few seconds of looking and being met with that? I have never been more dissapointed with service. I would rate it less if if I could."
