Mary K Floral Design 737 Anzac Parade, Maroubra, New South Wales 2035

"Due to the experience I've had with this florist I didn't want to award any stars but goggle insisted I had to award 1 to be allowed to post the review. I reside in Scotland and have family in Maroubra. I visited the shop in person in Jan this year and purchased a beautiful bunch of flowers for a special occasion and noted that once back in Scotland I'd use this florist for any occasions that I would miss in person. My aunt in Maroubra turned 80 on 6th July and I purchased online a bouquet of flowers and opted for a balloon as an added cost. The flowers were delivered - they were poor quality - definitely not fresh as some were rotting and considering what they cost were not presentable and also no balloon. So disappointing considering this was a huge birthday and a really special milestone. I contacted the shop via email and eventually received a half hearted response that didn't resolve my complaint but said they'd at least refund the money for the balloon. I replied back that I wasn't happy with how it was dealt with, I was ignored. I sent another email - this was also ignored and still no refund for the balloon. Very disappointed - will not use again - neither will my family."

"Genuinely surprised. Have walked past many times but today was my first time going in. For a small shop, plenty of selections. Beautiful arrangements, classy designs and prices are reasonable. Staff were really helpful and friendly and were able to advise on the best gift. Will be back"

"Careful - Orders look nothing like what is advertised on the website. I ordered an arrangement for Mothers Day, went to collect it and the arrangement was literally one third of the size of what was advertised. When I queried it, the manager (I presume) said sometimes people order the smaller size thinking they’ve ordered the larger size. I pointed out that I indeed ordered the large size. Then I was told they ran out of the larger jars. Sorry but that’s not my problem. The manager then disappeared and returned with 3 more flowers and added them to the jar hoping that’d be enough. It still looked nothing like what was advertised on the website, which I again pointed out, and was told that if any more flowers were added, there would not be enough space in the jar. There was no offer of another arrangement or bouquet. Thankfully I did receive a refund but fact is, this person, if she was indeed the manager, did not have a care in the world about the situation and just wanted me to go away. They would have made an extreme amount of money out of Mother’s Day and I’m just one little customer, who was totally dismissed. For anyone reading this review, you will not get what you pay for if you order from the website. If you do place an order, ask the receiver to send you a photo. And if you have an issue, they will not care because they have enough customers and you don’t matter. Mary K, you need to update your website with actual pictures of arrangements and bouquets because you are false advertising. If this review gets a response, I’m sure it’ll be some kind of justification but there is absolutely no excuse for not providing customers with a product that is advertised."

I always get excellent and friendly service everytime I order or buy a bouquet, arrangements or bunches of flowers for friends and families. One of my friend's favourite are the burgundy lilies and the flowers that I always order from them are absolutely fresh that they last longer. The prices are fair, the selection is enormous and service is great."
