BERWICK MECHANICAL SERVICES

"My vehicle was sent here by another mechanic for a RWC inspection. The inspection report that I received has multiple basic errors as listed below as issue stated on the report and then my comment about the "issue": -"Incorrect Horn Tone" (Its a Toyota genuine horn so how is this an issue?) -"Excessive wear, Universal joint. Comments: Tailshaft rear uni play" (All universal joints are tight, have no damage and are greased. The play that is referred to is actually diff 'backlash' play which there is a specified manufacturer tolerance) -"Brake hose to front diff perished" (Differentials don't have brake hoses, this is clearly a breather hose not a brake hose) -"Bushes worn, All front springs. Comments: front leaf spring, eye bushes work" (Whats the actual issue?? Are the bushes working or are they worn out of tolerance? Whats also wrong with the front springs? There is no issue stated. Spring are not inverted or flat, bump stops are not worn out, there are no cracks in the leaf packs, whats the issue?) Would not recommend taking your vehicle to this mechanic unless you want to have issues yourself."

"Had my car roadworthy here, young guy and other guy were friendly and professional, guy with beard (Clinton) was rude and wouldn't speak to me. His roadworthy inspection was fair and honest but I couldn't get past the rudeness of the guy. He wouldn't even engage me in conversation he just turned away every time I spoke. He was rude to other people too and I heard muttering under his breath about other customers so I assume he did that with me too. I also saw him answer a phone call and say "no, not today, we don't work Saturday's" then just hung up the phone. Everytime the phone rang he tutted like it was too much trouble for him to bother with. If I was dealing with either of the other two guys, I wouldn't hesitate to go back there but if it was the Clinton, with the beard, not a chance he has no customer service skill at all regardless of his technical knowledge."

"The worst car mechanic I have met so far. Asked several times before booking my BMW whether you could enter the service to car's computer and he said yes. After receiving the payment, he said that we could not do so and can I come back later. I went next day, he wasted another 1 hour of mine and then said he cant enter it to car's computer. I had been very polite and him to refund my payment as he could not do the job as per request. He started escalating and using abusive language....Clinton never felt apologetic for his bad conduct, lies and poor work rather yelled at me, " I dont want to see your f..king face again"... I would never recommend this service really."
