About Witternberg Reserve
Welcome to Witternberg Reserve, located in the City of Frankston, Victoria, Australia. As part of the Frankston municipality, our institution is fortunate to be surrounded by a diverse range of parks, gardens, and natural reserves. With over 100 green public spaces, our community can escape the pressures of modern life and find solace in the peace and tranquility of nature.

Families with children will delight in our playground located at the north end of the reserve, complete with shaded areas for relaxation.
If you prefer a mid-sized park, we have you covered. Our reserve features a children's playground, shaded areas, and walking paths that meander across the entire area. As you stroll through the reserve, you'll be captivated by the stunning native bushlands and the peaceful walking path that runs through the heart of Armstrongs Reserve.
For nature enthusiasts, Austin Reserve is a must-visit. This large, tree-lined reserve is situated near Belvedere Reserve and offers a serene environment for relaxation and exploration. With two regional playground areas, 30 hectares of open space, and sporting fields including an athletics track, AFL, soccer, and cricket, this park has something for everyone. Don't forget to explore the historical homestead, which adds a touch of nostalgia to the park's ambiance.
If you're a nature lover, you'll appreciate the unique features of Banjo Rise Reserve. Covering one hectare, this reserve supports a healthy woodland community and is home to a variety of local birds, small lizards, and isolated orchid populations. And for those seeking a peaceful retreat, Banyan Reserve is the perfect choice. Encompassing eight hectares, this reserve boasts a Melbourne Water retarding basin surrounded by picturesque walking tracks and a small playground.
As we celebrate and enjoy the natural beauty of our reserves, it's important to acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners, the Bunurong people, who have been the custodians of this land for generations. We honor all Aboriginal community Elders, past and present, who have played an integral role in the history of this region.
So come and visit Witternberg Reserve, where you can connect with nature, engage in recreational activities, and create lasting memories with your loved ones.
Reviews of Witternberg Reserve
"Great to have a beautiful piece of bushland within walking distance of home, aside from the freeway being close enough to hear the traffic on the Nth side, the rest of the area is still a place to stop and hear the birds and the wind blowing in the trees. A place to truly get back to and appreciate nature. The local playground attached has just had a major overhaul done with Sail shade coverage and all new play equipment awesome for kids from toddlers to 12 yo."
"Everything is fine, the new entertainment is great, only one thing spoils the impression, the children's slides are made of metal and in hot weather you cannot use them, otherwise everything is great."
"Huge baseball / softball Park. .nice bushland for walk .toilet block if needed . Near the freeway with a few kilometres sealed bike & walking path ."
"Nice and peaceful park"
"Good playground but no shade. Few big trees around for shade but you need a rug to sit under them. Few picnic tables but not under shade. No bar b que but there is a toilet block."
