The Private Clinic

"The anaesthetist was highly judgmental and a chauvinist excuse of a man. Seeing me in a vulnerable manner & using that to try and intimidate and embarrass me. He took it upon himself to make rude comments about my situation in which he had NO right. I originally decided to get an IUD insertion & termination. Just before my procedure i decided to change my mind and not get an IUD. The doctor (lovely woman) spoke to me to make sure and advised me that is totally fine. The anaesthetist then came in to the room and started questioning me why i didnt want it. I replied to which i didn't feel comfortable. He then proceeded to tell me his - quote - “male experience with IUDs” to which i AGAIN replied i did not want an IUD. He then shockingly made the most disgusting comment of “ well you don't want to get pregnant again do you?” The more i think about his comment the more it infuriates me. To this comment i didn't reply as i was shocked and in a highly vulnerable state due to the circumstances i was in. He had NO right and how dare he try to gaslight and embarrass me. He then told me i looked stressed?! I just dont understand how he had the audacity to make these comments and make me feel extremely uncomfortable. His job was to explain the effects of anaesthetic to me NOT to pass judgment and imply i should not be getting pregnant again. He is completely unprofessional and should NOT be working in a environment with vulnerable women. I believe this should be a women's only clinic given the nature of the procedures and my recent experience. The nurses are lovely & very professional & caring. Its a shame that they have a cold hearted human like him working there."

"I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who also finds themselves in my situation. I went in for a surgical termination. I was feeling scared and ashamed but everyone was so kind, professional, welcoming, and non-judgemental. The appropriate staff at each stage always checked in on me and made sure I was comfortable and informed. They really took care of me and I'm so appreciative of it, given that it's such an emotional moment. My appointment there was handled so smoothly and with such efficiency. I'd like to thank the doctor and the anaesthesiologist for handling me with such care and kindness and extend that thanks to the administration team and the nurses."

"Couldn’t recommend the private clinic enough, everyone is so professional. From the moment I walked in the nurses, doctors and receptionist were all so lovely and made the experience so easy and calming! For anyone who’s scared to do the procedure please don’t be! You don’t even remember falling asleep, and when you wake up everything is done and you don’t feel a thing. I had never had anaesthetic so I was quite nervous beforehand but I couldn’t thank the team enough for making a nerve racking and often scary procedure so relaxing and easy.
