About the Business
Welcome to Point Cook Coastal Park, a stunning establishment and popular tourist attraction located in Point Cook, Australia. This magnificent park offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to the whole family.
One of the main highlights of Point Cook Coastal Park is its perfect setting for a family picnic. The beach picnic area provides a children's play area, free gas barbecues, plenty of shade, toilets, and easy access to the beach. The flat expanse of grass ensures that parents with prams can easily navigate the park. Additionally, the park features kilometers of well-maintained grass tracks, ideal for leisurely strolls. Walking along the beach during low tide also offers a beautiful and serene experience.
For birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts, the Tower Walk is a must-do activity. This scenic walk takes you through native grassland to a tower that symbolizes migration and aspirations. Along the way, keep an eye out for ground-dwelling birds such as quails and birds of prey. Once you reach the tower, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the coastal surroundings and Cheetham Wetlands. Don't forget to bring your binoculars to fully appreciate the diverse birdlife and cityscape.
Point Cook Coastal Park is a haven for various bird species. During low tide from September to April, you can observe numerous shorebirds on the mudflats, including the Australian Painted Snipe, Greater Sand Plover, Grey-tailed Tattler, Lesser Sand Plover, Orange-bellied Parrot, and Regent Honeyeater. In summer, migratory birds seek shelter within the trees and wetlands, making it an excellent opportunity for bird enthusiasts.
Operating hours at Point Cook Coastal Park are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from April to September and from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm from October to March. Please note that nature can be unpredictable, so it's always a good idea to check for any updates before your visit.
