Reviews
"Went to Katmandu highpoint and saw a jacket I liked but they didn’t have my size, the sales associate called the Southland store as she could see they had it and asked them to transfer over to Highpoint for me to pick up (Southland is 1.30h away by car)… they said no… My bad for thinking Katmandu actually wants to sell their products to customers. I thought that was the whole point of being a store but apparently not."
"Found the store manager (or a member of staff - did not catch her name) on Sunday morning 25/6/2023 to be extremely rude and unprofessional. Basic manners to explain the situation calmly and avoid escalation would be a general expectation of a store manager or a member of the store. Unfortunately she accused us of being aggressive whilst constantly refusing us to get a word in and continued to escalate, even becoming agitated when we signalled that we would leave the store as we found the customer experience to be rude and dismissive. Whilst we have bought many things from Kathmandu in the past, we are hesitant in future about supporting any business in their Southland store in particular and would recommend visiting other stores nearby."
"I was in store for half an hour...I couldn't decide. Not once did any of the 3 service people approach or offer assistance- to busy chatting to each other. I left without buying anything."
"Kathmandu is failing to keep up with modern fashion trends and is now slightly boring. Materials are also not up to scratch and for what they are, are overpriced. $45 for three pairs of ankle socks that are essentially 40% polyester is offensive. Stores appear to be empty, perhaps a sign they are struggling. Pity, as the concept has potential. Their recent television commercial was to say the least meaningless, trite and far too esoteric."
"Always love this place. Disappointed in the colour range over the last few years. Used to be able to get a light navy, nothing much for us blonds. Also bring back the nice yoga pants. Each year I live in hope."
