Rye's Up! Community Playground 2376 Point Nepean Road, Rye, Victoria 3941
About the Business
Welcome to Rye's Up! Community Playground, a beloved establishment located on the beautiful Rye Foreshore in Australia. Situated opposite the Rye town centre and close to Rye Pier, boat ramps, and car parking, our playground is a must-visit destination for families and children of all ages.
The Rye Foreshore Reserve, where our playground is located, offers a range of amenities including toilets, BBQ facilities, picnic areas, and of course, our large and exciting play space. This playground was built by the Rye community, for the Rye community, and it is a testament to the strong sense of community spirit that thrives in this area.
In 2017, we underwent renovations to make our playground even more accessible, with a particular focus on accommodating children with disabilities. This project was made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of over 700 volunteers who participated in 'The Build' project. Skilled and unskilled volunteers came together to assist with painting, construction, concreting, childcare, and mulching to create the inclusive and vibrant playground that stands on the Rye Foreshore today.
The Rye's Up community playground is part of the Shire's innovative Community Capital initiative, which aims to support community groups in constructing or upgrading community infrastructure. We are proud to be a part of this initiative and to contribute to the overall wellbeing and enjoyment of our local community.

"Visited this playground earlier in the year with my little ones. They absolutely loved it. Such a safe and secure playground completely fenced in. Nice, shaded equipment. Definitely a great variety for children ages 2 and up with lots of stairs, slides, climbing frames and tunnels. Not much for the under 2’s though. Parking is available close by in a small carpark but timed. Can easily walk over from the main street as well. Picnic tables and seating available. Right next to Rye Beach."
"Nice and peaceful. Fish &chip +dimsim from David seafood s ok but didn’t have sauce ⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"Quite a large playground for kids of all ages. Great location near the shops, foreshore and beachfront, with toilets not too far away too. There's a large grassland area nearby and the playground is mostly fenced, aside from the entrance arch. The playground gets quite busy during peak times and parking is available in several locations nearby."
"Large wooden structure with a variety of slides, swings and other equipment. A bit aging but perfectly functional still. Great place on the foreshore."
