"Not recommend, no basic restaurant etiquette. Appalling management & customer service. First time dining here for community support. Manager/Owner and staff non-friendly and no smiles. Not busy at all and rush to collect dishes by grabbing the bowl with 1/4 food remaining then asked if it’s done while trying to remove from table. This was at 8pm and shop closes 10pm. Don’t recommend their pork belly, paid expensively for whole piece of fat with tiny bit of meat available. Notified the person in charge (manager/owner) after being served and complaint was just ignored. Overall Food average, nothing special and expensive Spent $200 for 5 dishes - lotus pork soup, pork belly, spicy chicken, grilled fish pieces and stir fried bamboo shoots Not worth dining compared to other surrounded restaurants"
"I have enjoyed the authentic hunan cuisine experience, it can be a bit overwhelming for the first time with the spiciness and strong flavour but definitely goes down well with plenty of rice. The price is definitely up there so I would suggest he prepared to spend $30-50 per person if you want to try different things in a group."
"No doubt the best Chinese restaurant in Melbourne. The best salted egg lobster I’ve had in Melbourne. Worth every penny spent, you can tell the quality of ingredients and dedication to each dish. It’s not the typical Australian Chinese restaurant, but it’s the one that would bring local Chinese back home the moment the dish came on the table. Service is great, there is no fancy standard service jargon but down to earth sincerity, care and attention to details. I believe in power of word of mouth, and I appreciate their effort in bringing authentic cutlery experience to Melbourne."
"Very good and tasty food. Lots of traditional northern Chinese dishes, but also some more western Chinese dishes. Some people have commented that the price is high, and I don't think that's quite accurate. The majority of dishes are $30 but are huge portions that feed 2 adults comfortably. So the price is reflective of the quantity and quality of food. Service was quite good as well and the food came out quickly, even for a Saturday night. Definitely recommended."
