Welcome to Vinnies, an iconic establishment located at the heart of Windsor, George Street, Australia. As a point of interest and store, we are proud to offer a wide range of services and products that not only cater to your needs but also contribute to a more just and compassionate society.
At Vinnies, we are part of the St Vincent de Paul Society, a lay Catholic organisation that is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. With over 200 services available, we strive to provide assistance and support to individuals and families facing various challenges.
We believe in the power of unity and inclusivity, and we proudly acknowledge and pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Traditional Custodians of this land. Reviews of Vinnies
"I always seem to find lovely vintage treasure at this store and at very good prices too. Nice staff who are very helpful."
"Went there for the 1st time today, I was very surprised they were open for the Christmas period. Store is clean and big, volunteers are kind, however you really need to look to try and find a bargain, in my opinion most clothes were quite overpriced (rivers, rockmans for $10+!!), same as their womens shoes and bags... kids stuff were okay, same as some of the miscellaneous decor items... sadly I believe all that pricing comes from the managers, it is just crazy now with the 2 big op shops, not everyone is a collector or reseller, some we go there to buy sustainable and affordable..."
"THE TOO EXPENSIVE SHOP!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I once was a real believer in St Vincent De Paul and spent a lot of money over many years and purchased some great items for my collection. Unfortunately the store has changed dramatically in the past 12 months and everything is very over priced to the point of disbelief!! I went there the other day for a look and there was a Billy Joel L.P Record for $50!!!! can you believe it!!! Yes $50 for a second hand garden variety Billy Joel L.P!!!! Holy F......k!!! That record is at the record fairs for around $10--15 max!!!! They have lost the plot!!! There is a horrible retro dinner set in the front cabinet of the store for $400!!!!! can you believe it!!!! My advice avoid this place as they have turned into an antiques outlet and there are no bargains at all!!! Re the Billy Joel L.P, I asked the lady at the counter if she was truly serious at the price being $50 and she confirmed it!!! How sad this was once a genuine Christian caring organisation that helped those in need!! What happened to being Christian??????? By all means go there if you want but you will need to get a bank loan to purchase anything worthwhile!! I certainly won't be giving them anything in the future with this attitude!!! I think the staff must spend their time on Ebay and other sites to guess prices. It is one thing to set a price, it is another to sell it!! Nobody near the shop when I went past today, I wonder why!!!"
"Not cheap but some items are nice and affordable. Leather boots are $20. Good quality boots with damaged under sole. Spend another $30 to change back sole. Look thoroughly before you buy. Rings are $2. Belts are $3. Clean and good condition products, better quality than Salvos nearby. Friendly service. Pretty far to walk from train station."
"Extremely over priced. Quality of items mostly old fashioned Ie. home wares, manchester, clothes. Shame about the prices, items will not move quickly at those prices. Second hand dustpan / broom $4. Kmart $1.50"
