Welcome to Aspect Central Coast School, located at 75 Duffys Road in Terrigal, Australia. As a specialized autism education institution, we have been providing exceptional educational services for over 30 years across The Entrance, Wyong, and Gosford Local Government Areas. Our main campus is situated in Terrigal, and we also have satellite classes in various NSW Department of Education and Catholic Schools in Wamberal, Tuggerah, Gosford, Woy Woy, and Toukley.

At Aspect Central Coast School, we cater to over 135 students aged 4 to 17 years. Our approach is rooted in the Aspect Comprehensive Approach, which focuses on understanding, engaging, and celebrating the strengths, interests, and aspirations of individuals on the autism spectrum. We offer individualized education programs tailored to each student's unique needs.

To provide a comprehensive understanding of our institution, we regularly host pre-enrollment tours that include a presentation about Aspect and our educational program, as well as a tour of our main school site. Additionally, we hold information sessions each term for parents, caregivers, and service providers to provide detailed information about the range of services we offer in the Central Coast region. These services encompass therapy, early support, school-based programs, educational outreach, and training and support across home and community environments.

Aspect Central Coast is registered and accredited by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority, following the NSW curriculum. Our students are engaged in a range of compulsory subjects, complemented by elective options during their junior and senior schooling. Each student receives an individualized program with necessary adjustments to ensure positive learning opportunities. We also incorporate community-based activities to help students apply their learning experiences and understand the impact of their autism.

Technology plays a significant role in our classrooms, complementing traditional teaching methods. However, we ensure that technology is not the sole means of program delivery and closely monitor its use to maintain a balanced approach.

Our school utilizes the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) approach to help our students regulate their behavior. PBS recognizes that challenging behavior occurs for a reason and communicates important information about the individual's needs and wants. We focus on students' strengths and special interests to motivate learning and celebrate their diversity and talents.

Under Aspect's Capital Works Master Plan, Investing in Our Future, we have recently completed a significant renovation and refurbishment of our Terrigal Junior and Senior Campuses. These improvements include new calm, sensory, and active playground spaces, updated facilities throughout the school, and refurbished classrooms with autism-specific design improvements to support sensory requirements in every room.

The Aspect Comprehensive Approach ensures that we support all areas of a child's development. With the input of their family, teachers, and professionals, we develop individual plans (IP) that highlight the most suitable learning style, techniques, and supports for each child. Our positive learning environment focuses on their strengths and interests.
