Welcome to the Mount Eliza Country Club, located at 32 Old Mornington Road in Australia. Established in 1956, our club has a rich history and continues to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for members and visitors alike.

Our story begins with a group of local businessmen who had been meeting at Sir Edgar Coles’ property, Hendra, on Old Mornington Road since 1952. As the group grew over the years, it became necessary to find a new location for their social activities. In 1956, Sir Edgar Coles and Sir Reginald Ansett purchased the current property from the Allfrey family, and with the support of their well-resourced patrons, were able to obtain a unique liquor license to create the Mount Eliza Country Club.

Since its inception, the Club has been a popular meeting spot for local men of all ages, and a flexible function venue for members of the public. Our clubhouse is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and offers ample parking spaces. Inside, members and guests can enjoy the warmth of the fireplaces and the vintage charm of the surroundings during the winter months, while the outdoor decking area provides a perfect spot to relax on a hot summer’s day.

The Club offers a range of activities for members to enjoy, including luncheons, golf days, pool and snooker competitions, and a selection of fine tap beers. Our function rooms are also available for hire and provide the ideal setting for a variety of events such as birthday celebrations, engagement parties, workplace break-ups, trivia nights, and wedding receptions. With a flexible function room that can accommodate up to 120 standing guests or 80 seated guests, we can tailor the space to suit your needs.
