Camden Hospital
About the Business
Welcome to Camden Hospital, located at 61 Menangle Road, in the beautiful city of Camden, Australia. Our institution has a rich history, starting as a humble Cottage Hospital with just 12 beds, a matron, a nurse, and a maid. Over the years, we have grown and evolved into a renowned specialist center for various healthcare needs.
Today, Camden Hospital is proud to offer exceptional services in aged care and rehabilitation, palliative care, and medical outpatient care. We are also home to the esteemed University Medical Clinics of Camden/Campbelltown (UMCCC) and the Karitane Residential Family Care Unit.
Operating under a common executive management structure with Campbelltown Hospital, a major metropolitan hospital, we have established a strong network of services that benefit patients from both institutions. This network includes a diverse range of specialties such as intensive care, cardiology, maternity, gynecology, pediatrics, respiratory and stroke medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. Additionally, we provide comprehensive aged care services to meet the needs of our community.
At Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, we are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to the residents of Wollondilly, Camden, and Campbelltown local government areas. We are proud to serve one of the fastest-growing regions in the state, ensuring that our community has access to the best medical care possible.

"Cannot thank the nurses at Camden hospital enough. This is the second Sunday in a row I have had to take my 3 year old in and the staff were amazing. So caring and attentive. Tonight the staff even gifted my little one a trauma teddy. She was terrified to be back in hospital but now I think she is over her fear which is just incredible. Thank you ladies xx"
"Adding to the previous review - the horrendous service continues. booked a pathology appointment for 7.30 when being given two options, 7 or 7.30. when we reach the Camden hospital pathology a rude pathology nurse just points at a board and says we only open at 8 and I'll call you when we open. She did not care that there was a pregnant lady waiting or didn't bother listening to the fact that we had an appointment for 7.30. people like her should never be in public facing roles and she should rather quit and go do other work where she can sit in one corner and sulk. Pathetic service and pathetic ED. Happy to give 0 star if possible. Walked into an empty ED at 7 am. Waited for 5 hours without getting to see anyone. Did an x-ray at 9 am only to be told that the doctor does not have time to see the x-ray. The nurses really need to learn customer service etiquettes and care about patients (one nurse in particular in ED). If t the hospital cannot handle 6 patients in ED, it should shut down. It has now been 15mins since I was told that a nurse will come speak to me and nothing has happened."
"Okay! Where to begin! being unable to walk due to the excruciating pain associated with the illness. I was directed to a nurse who took my blood pressure and temperature before informing me that a doctor would be with me shortly to investigate my condition in greater detail. I waited for an hour just to find out that there were a few more people in front of me in the line. Waited yet another hour, making the total wait time two hours! And after that, I was forced to leave the room. I couldn't be more upset!"
"Pathetic. My 8 mths old daughter had a fall and she could not move her left arm. We had a referral from one of our GP. We waited for like 3 hours in ED but no response at all from the team, when asked they still have no idea what’s gonna happen next. Please don’t go to this hospital for emergencies."
