"I've developed a reputation as a wine connoisseur based on their advice. I know practically nothing about wine. Great specials."
"I visited my local store I. Gisborne at 1.30 today. My 20 year old son was with me and had no ID. He had touched an item so refusal of service was imposed. This wasn’t the issue it was the sarcasm of the 20 something year old staff member told me to have a wonderful day. I stated sarcasm didn’t become him he was even ruder. I asked for a name and he didn’t provide it. This is also a requirement by law for staff to provide to a purchaser. Customer service was disgraceful. Zero tolerance when we were not rude to him. Showing off whilst training an older staff member who looked bemused by the whole event. Went elsewhere and spent my $200. Training definitely needed"
"For10 years I have shopped at liquorland and have been satisfied with their service, (not ever very friendly I must say) but did their job. However the new staff are not well trained, and do not do their job well, always a mess there and like a script of the same every time. “Oh sorry forgot to order it or I don’t know, not my fault.” For 10 years I order 2 boxes of sparkling wine and for months now it is either not ordered or put on the shelf and sold NOT to me. You have lost me as a customer. You need staff who look after customers and do their job they are being paid to do. And be real people, not the same how’s your day !"
"Went in here with my partner. Stood waiting for him at the counter while he went and got his beer. Looked at no alcohol myself and got refused serve my partner alcohol as I didn’t have my ID. Was told if I look under 30 I need to supply ID as I’m accompanying my partner. Firstly I’m 32 with a ring on my finger, secondly the legal drinking age is 18 so why is 30 years the standard age you need to require ID and lastly I didn’t even look to purchase alcohol while he went and got his beer. What a joke! Never had this issue at Dan Murphy or first choice. Adjust your ridiculous standard."
