As an overseas resident, it is crucial to understand and comply with the "Non-Resident Tax Rates" for reporting income sourced in Australia. However, investors who receive income solely from bank interest, dividends, and royalties, and have already had the "Non-Resident Withholding Tax" deducted, may be exempt from reporting their income. (Provided they have submitted their tax file number to the bank and relevant institutions).
