Despite contacting Woolworth's representatives who confirmed their obligations under the consumer guarantees act, the duty manager at the store refused to process a refund, exchange, or repair on the spot. I was left with no choice but to complete the refund procedure online myself. It is important for consumers to be aware that this store does not seem to honor their obligations under the consumer guarantees act, which grants us certain rights, including the right to a refund for faulty products. Despite providing evidence and seeking assistance, the duty manager was unhelpful and unwilling to comply with the law. I urge fellow consumers to be cautious when dealing with this store and to be familiar with their rights under the consumer guarantees act. If you encounter similar issues, it may be necessary to escalate the matter to consumer protection agencies or fair trading bodies for assistance.
