Stage and Screen Academy

Welcome to Stage and Screen Academy, located at Smeaton Grange, Hartley Road, 156 in Australia. We are an establishment that offers quality performing arts education for individuals of all ages. Whether you have work or school commitments that prevent you from studying full time or you simply want to enhance your skills and meet artistic people, we have the perfect program for you.

At Stage and Screen Academy, we believe in the power of discipline and commitment. Our students have a great time while learning valuable skills, working as a team, and putting on outstanding performances. We cater to a range of students, from committed amateurs to passionate professionals. Our classes are open to adults of all ages, as well as children (from 6 years old) and teenagers. We accept new students in January and early July, and we require a six-month commitment to ensure our students can bond and work on high-quality productions together.

As part of a production studio, we occasionally offer exciting opportunities in film crew, acting, extras work, and auditions for our students. If you are interested, please let us know!

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer special events and activities throughout the year. We have a Headshots Photo Shoots Special on Sunday, 30th July, where actors can book a half-hour sitting for $100. We also have dress rehearsals and shows for our Junior/Intermediate and Senior Company students in November and December.

Our courses are priced at $500 per semester (six months of tuition), and after a free trial class, fees are payable upfront and non-refundable to ensure commitment to the course and related major works. For students who want to immerse themselves fully in the performing arts, we offer an unlimited classes option for $1300 per semester. Please note that age limits and conditions apply.

We do not charge an enrollment fee, and our prices include all set building, painting, costuming, hair and makeup, and any additional group rehearsal or dress rehearsal time required for major works. We also offer private tuition for all ages, including children, teens, and adults, for upcoming auditions.

At Stage and Screen Academy, we have established strong relationships with industry professionals, and our students are always our first point of call for exciting professional opportunities. We have worked with Channel 7 and ABC series, feature films, Shakespeare in the Gardens live performances, children's educational videos, workplace OH&S and promotional videos, and television and online advertising campaigns.

In addition to our educational programs, we also organize fun optional movie nights, parties, and social activities for our students to enjoy their downtime with their theater and film friends.
