"Some great standout men's clothing in this store, with so much to choose from. Style you won't find anywhere else in Randwick, you'd have to tramp all the way to Oxford St otherwise. The service from the staff is extremely hospitable , making feel so welcoming. I'm definitely making this a place I'll keep popping in to see what's new on offer."
"Great service and a very nice range. Very refreshing to have a quality store among the otherwise poor standard of Randwick junction. Whether you're looking for casual, semi-casual or formal wear, you should pop by. The owner Will offers a careful personalised service!"
"My son is turning 18 soon. As we like to shop local, we decided to give 'Boston for Men' a go as we have walked past it how many times over the years. When the 2nd lockdown was officially announced, I decided today was the day so my son could have something for his birthday as he loves to dress smart. Walked the half hour to get there - store closed. Googled the number? "Number not connected" message. See a small note in the window with a mobile number. Call, goes to voicemail. Text message - am told they closed early due to no customers that day, to call them back next week so they could open it on appointment and emphasises the student discount available. Called a week later - went to voicemail. Sent a text message. Message still unanswered. 5 months later, post lockdown: Tried calling the store to see if they were open - number still disconnected. Called mobile - went to voicemail. Sent a text message - they asked if I was a certain man? Said I was trying to confirm they were open so not to waste our time. Restates the student discount offer and floods my messages with pictures of the store. We turn up. A friend of theirs is outside playing a guitar, another friend inside reading a book. My son needed measurements/fitting, but no one knew what to do. Friend said the guy was just parking his car. Waited for 20 minutes - owner didn't turn up. Browsed the store. Not the best selection, more for basics like plain shirts and pants though we did like 1 navy paisley jacket. However for close to $300 dollars as a mother I wanted proper measurements to see if it was worth buying as I did not want my son to outgrow the jacket within 6 months. Still no owner, so we left. While food shopping, get a message saying he is back, proceeds to flood my messages with photographs of a sunglass rack (?). 20 minutes later, walk back in the store - still no business owner! Though previously apathetic, even his friend insists this is not good business practice as we were willing to spend around $800 that day. A week later I tell my son if he wants to go get some shoes there and a few basics, he can go without me and to just call me to tell me the cost. He turns up. Owner is there with several friends. Measures my son for proper fit, and for 1 pair of leather shoes, 2 cheaply made pairs of paints and 1 belt, quotes my son nearly $500. My reply? HELL no. Ask my son to ask about the student discount. Ignores my sons query, charges him full price for the shoes. Begrudgingly deposit the money in my sons bank so he can pay for them but decide giving this store a 3rd chance was a stupid decision on my behalf. Seems like Boston for Men is more of a hang-out for the British "lads" than an efficient business geared towards fashion-conscious local customers. Jumped online, bought close to a grand on John Henric instead. John Henric offered all I was looking for - beautiful Italian printed silk shirts, great plain shirt staples, beautiful printed ties, bow-ties, garter bands, tie pins, lapel pins, leather belts and suspender belts, scarves both wool and silk. We would have preferred to invest that $1000 in a local business, alas, if there's no-one there to serve you and treat you respectfully, you get what you need elsewhere."
"The store has a great range of casual, smart casual and formal clothes. I was really stuck for an event and the owner Will helped me greatly to put together an amazing outfit. Can't thank him enough for the time he took and help he gave!"
