Welcome to Tanya Brooks Dance Academy, a highly successful and popular dance school located in West Epping, New South Wales. Established in 1994, our academy has grown to become a trusted institution with over 150 students attending classes each week.
Situated in the modern and spacious dance studio at West Epping Park Community Hall, our academy offers a wide variety of dance classes for children aged 3 and above. We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where both girls and boys can explore their passion for dance.
Our classes are held during the school terms, and we offer a range of dance styles including ballet, hip hop, and jazz. For our ballet students, we offer the opportunity to participate in ballet exams which are held mid-year. We are proud to share that our recent RAD Ballet Examinations and Class Award Examinations saw an average mark of 79%, with many students receiving a Distinction, the highest award possible.
At Tanya Brooks Dance Academy, we understand the importance of safety and security. All our teachers have undergone thorough screening and hold a valid and current Working With Children Check. You can have peace of mind knowing that your child is in capable and caring hands.
In addition, we are a registered provider with Active Kids and Creative Kids, allowing families to apply for vouchers that can be redeemed towards our dance classes. Simply visit the NSW Active Kids page for more information and instructions on how to apply.
As the highlight of our dance year, we host an "Annual Concert" where all our students showcase their talents and hard work. Costumes for the concert can be hired at a minimal fee, ensuring that every child can participate and shine on stage.

"I highly recommend TBDA. My daughter has been dancing with TBDA for 13 years, since she was 5 years old. She has attended ballet, contemporary and tap classes and completed ballet exams up to grade 8 (RAD). She is not a 'natural' dancer but she loves it and has been encouraged by all her dance teachers to do her best. "Our daughter has been taking classes at TBDA since 2013. She loves all her dance classes – tap, ballet and contemporary and this year is taking her first pointe class. We went to a few different dance schools in the early years, but this is the one we have stayed with. The teachers are lovely, lessons are well prepared and communication to parents (ie regarding ballet exams and concerts) is also excellent.
