About Cumberland High School
Welcome to Cumberland High School, a prestigious secondary school located in Carlingford, Australia. Situated on Pennant Hills Road, our institution is not only an establishment and point of interest, but a hub of academic excellence and a place where students develop a lifelong love for learning.
At Cumberland High School, we hold our traditions and history in high regard, as we believe they form the foundation of our educational journey. However, we also understand the importance of innovation and growth, constantly striving to provide our students with the best possible education.
One of our recent initiatives was the Cumberland Strengths Summit, held at Luna Park. This event brought together our Year 10, Year 11, and Year 12 students, allowing them to discover their greatest strengths and learn how to harness and align these strengths to maximize their learning outcomes. This summit also focused on enhancing career planning and development, equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed beyond their time at Cumberland High School.
We understand that the period leading up to the HSC exams can be a stressful time for both students and their families. That's why we provide a supportive environment and resources to help alleviate some of this stress. Our dedicated teachers and staff are always available to offer guidance, ensuring that our students feel confident and prepared to excel in their exams.
Education Week is a significant event in our calendar, as it allows us to celebrate the achievements of our school, teachers, and students. It is a time when we come together as a community to showcase the incredible talent and dedication that exists within Cumberland High School. We are proud to be a part of the NSW public education system and contribute to its ongoing success.
We value the input and feedback of our parents and carers, as they play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of our students. The Department of Education has shared a draft plan for NSW public education, inviting parents and carers to share their valuable insights. We encourage our community to participate in this process, as it ensures that our school continues to meet the needs and expectations of our students and their families.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which Cumberland High School stands. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present and acknowledge the emerging leaders of the future. We are committed to promoting reconciliation and fostering a culturally inclusive environment within our school.

Reviews of Cumberland High School
"the old old principal before he got replace or left was straight rude, disrespectful and would make disgusting comments towards students the actual teachers make everything a competition for the students and encourage bullying and do nothing about it, students are taught to be disrespectful, the school says it focuses on the wellbeing and mental health of the students when u catch a teacher yelling at some student who did nothing wrong. if ur going to send your child here just know they are going to go through a form of abuse whether its physical usually emotional its your fault as the parent if they end up with trauma or ptsd when they graduate p.s. the teachers will try diagnosing ur child with some mental problem they think ur child has just because they aren't social or outgoing like the other kids there."
"Mr Phong is racist and chose an asian to answer the math question he even said “the asian should answer this”"
"Approachable learning in academics, teachers sustain effort and uplifting students to achieve higher, improve everyday, with engagement and efforts towards studies. I've just enrolled to this school, I enjoy attending here, till 2024."
"Just want to give advice to parents that this school’s uniform is fading, the yellow colour of collar is fading into other parts of shirt. So do not soak uniform over night, wash it straight away."
"I strongly beg you not to go there because theres a lot of racist kids there, as well as bullying. Most students don't care about other people's feelings and simply harass other students online, which is horrible."
