As a co-educational Catholic systemic school, we currently have an enrolment of 468 students. Our steady student population growth has allowed us to expand from a two-stream school to an emerging three-stream school from Kindergarten to Year 4. We are committed to being a Catholic learning community that focuses on the principles of lifelong learning.

As a Newman Selective Gifted Education Program school, we place students and their learning at the heart of our teaching. We celebrate the diversity of all learners and, together with parents, teachers, and staff, we are dedicated to a culture of continuous growth while maintaining contemporary learning practices and high-impact teaching strategies.

Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School enjoys a positive partnership with Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church Randwick and our parish priests. The spiritual aspect of liturgical and special celebrations ensures a positive and supportive school culture among staff, students, parents, and the parish.

We are proud to be an engaging learning environment and a vibrant "Collaborating Community" that has strong links with local businesses, organizations, and schools such as Platinum Pre-school, Brigidine College, and Marcellin College. These connections have greatly assisted our students in their transition to Kindergarten and to our Catholic colleges.

Our school has a rich history, dating back to 1881 when it was established by parishioners of the Sacred Heart Parish. Throughout the years, major building constructions and refurbishments have transformed our school into the vibrant and modern learning environment it is today. Our strongest history and traditions are rooted in the Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Sisters who ran the school in 1898 and the Brigidine Sisters from 1902 to 1989.

The OLSH and Brigidine charisms are celebrated and have a strong influence on our school identity. Inspired by Mary's strength and gentleness and the spirituality of the heart of Jesus, our school motto is "Strength in matter and gentleness in manner".

Our school is part of a system of over 150 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese, all of which aim to ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning to empower students to reach their full potential.
