Australia Mandarin Education Academy 488 Botany Road, Beaconsfield, New South Wales 2015
About the Business
Welcome to the Australia Mandarin Education Academy (AMEA)! Located in Beaconsfield on Botany Road, we are a unique establishment that offers immersive Mandarin language learning experiences for children. Our institution is not your typical school - we are a point of interest where children can have fun while learning Mandarin.
At AMEA, we believe in providing children with real-life situations where they can use Mandarin to solve problems, communicate with others, and accomplish tasks. Our innovative I.S.B.L™ (Immersive Situational Based Learning) program ensures that children are fully immersed in the language, with our teachers speaking Mandarin to them 95% of the time during class. This immersive approach allows children to pick up Mandarin quickly and effectively.
We are excited to announce that our July School Holiday class is now enrolling! Running from 3rd July to 15th July (excluding Sundays), this class offers a great opportunity for children to continue their Mandarin language learning during the school break.
In addition, we are thrilled to inform you that we will be opening a new campus in Bondi Junction for Term 4 this year, depending on the progress of construction. This expansion will provide even more opportunities for children to learn Mandarin and develop supplementary skills.
At AMEA, we understand the importance of starting Mandarin language learning early. An infant's brain has the incredible ability to recognize 800 sounds from any language from birth. Mandarin, being a tone language, is no exception. By starting to learn Mandarin early, children can avoid the loss of this unique ability to recognize sounds.
Communication is a crucial skill, and at AMEA, we aim to teach children not only how to use Mandarin as a tool for academic learning but also to develop their way of thinking. Through our situational based learning approach, children will not only learn Mandarin but also acquire valuable skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
You might be wondering why you should choose AMEA if your children are already native Mandarin speakers. Unlike traditional education facilities, we do not focus solely on teaching Mandarin. We believe in using Mandarin as a tool to learn other supplementary skills, just like schools in China. Ethical understanding, effective communication, respect and manners, literacy, physical development, sensory integration - these are just some of the skills that children can acquire in our Mini Village and Gym and Movement classes.
If you are concerned about your child understanding the teacher if they only speak Mandarin in class, rest assured that our teachers use common gestures, facial expressions, and peer learning to help children grasp the language. Children are excellent at learning from their peers, and they can observe the class before participating in games and activities. These observations, hesitations, and guesses all contribute to their language development.
Please note that we offer a free trial class, which can either be a 1-hour class or a Baby Class, but not a 3-hour class.
Join us at AMEA and embark on an adventure in Mandarin language learning like no other. Your child will not only learn the language but also develop valuable skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

"My 4yo child loves coming to AMEA to play and learn mandarin at the same time. Jo has been fantastic, very helpful and responsive. Teachers are friendly and professional. Each class is upto 6 kids, so each kid gets enough attention. The center is clean, bright and the educational materials are kept clean. Highly recommend."
"My daughter has been attending AMEA for the past 2 years and looks forward to Mandarin lessons each week. The learn as you play concept allows her to absorb the language without pressure. Highly recommended, especially for younger children."
"Jo and the rest of the teachers are so amazing with making the kids feel comfortable and learning fun. The concept is similar to daycare (play based learning) except it is in Chinese. This is so good for younger kids who need to be in the right environment for learning! Our little one has been going for 2 years now and we will definitely be continuing. Thanks Jo and the team!"
"I sent my my daughter to AMEA since she's 3. She enjoyed the mandarine classes very much and always look forward to the classes. I like school play -based style which make learning much more fun for kids. Jo has been responsive and flexible in accommodating our needs.we are also planning our second daughter to the school soon."
"My son has been studying with Jo for more than one and half years now. She is such a wonderful educator who treats each child with love and respect. The class has always been filled with fun, passion and great energy. My son is absolutely in love with the new venue! Chinese is no doubt a challenging language. Even as a Mandarin speaking family, we still find this program to be extremely beneficial and contributes to my son's Mandarin learning. We highly recommend AMEA to anyone who wishes their child to learn mandarin!"
