About the Business
Welcome to Corpus Christi College, located at 35 Donovan Avenue in Maroubra, Australia. Our college is an establishment and point of interest that is dedicated to providing a high-quality education in the Marist tradition for students of all backgrounds.
At Corpus Christi College, we strive for excellence in all areas of life, with a strong focus on faith, learning, and personal growth. Our students are empowered to seize every opportunity that comes their way, whether it be spiritual, academic, physical, cultural, or social. We encourage them to reach their highest potential and achieve their personal best with virtue and courage.
With a proud history of educating students from the eastern suburbs for over 60 years, Corpus Christi College is embarking on an exciting new chapter. In 2023, we have begun the transition to a coeducational college, welcoming our first cohort of boys and girls in Year 7. As a college, we work closely with parents to develop well-rounded individuals who possess sharp minds and strong hearts. Our goal is to graduate students who are competent, compassionate, and community-minded.
One of the highlights of our college is our diverse curriculum, which allows all students to develop their unique talents and abilities. In Stage 5 and 6, students have the opportunity to tailor their educational pathway to meet their specific needs and abilities. This ensures that they can achieve their personal best through a pathway that enriches their skills and abilities.
At Corpus Christi College, we believe in developing the whole person, academically and spiritually. We provide a caring and supportive environment that encourages students to become good citizens who are community-minded. Our college is focused on nurturing individuals who possess both competence and conscience.
Our history dates back to 1961 when Father John Power invited the Marist Brothers and the Daughter of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to establish a school on our current site. Over the years, we have evolved into a secondary college, educating boys from the eastern suburbs in the Marist tradition. In 1996, the college's name was changed to Marist College Pagewood, and in 2014, a trade training center was established, leading to the name change to Champagnat Catholic College.
Exciting changes are on the horizon for our college. In 2023, we will become the first comprehensive coeducational Catholic college in the eastern suburbs, and our name will change to Corpus Christi College. We will continue to operate in the Marist tradition, maintaining a strong relationship with other Marist schools and the Marist family.
Our college motto, "KNOW GOD'S LOVE," encompasses our commitment to ministry, learning, and wellbeing. We strive to create a truly Catholic, Marist, and vibrant learning community where students can experience God's love in all aspects of their lives. We value diligence, commitment, patience, kindness, and individuality. We promote self-worth and encourage students to reach their highest potential.
Spirituality is an integral part of our college community. We aim to deepen each person's understanding of the love that Jesus and Mary have for us. Through faith exploration, we build upon the shared faith of our parents and the wider faith community.
Community is the foundation that binds us together in God's love. We recognize the shared dignity of all members of the Marist family and foster mutual respect and support. Social justice is at the core of our values, and we strive to work for the betterment of those in need within our human family.
Corpus Christi College maintains a strong connection to Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, which is located on the same site. The Parish Priest has provided invaluable support and guidance to our college over the years. Our students come from various parishes across the Eastern suburbs, creating a rich and diverse community.
As part of the Sydney Catholic Schools system, our college is one of over 150 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese. We are proud to be part of a thriving Catholic community that ignites a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning, empowering students to reach their full potential.
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which our schools and offices stand. We honor the Elders past and present and recognize their ongoing connection to the land.

"That butter chicken is God tier. I've never had a better school meal in my life. I would die to save a single butter chicken just to share the experience 10/10 food."
"I loved teaching music to the kids here. I have a lot of experience with kids. If you don't know who I am already than I suggest you get a life. This school is great. When I was alive, the uniforms were fantastic, I sent my son Prince here, he was more on the arts side instead of the music side, which is why Paris has always bee my favorite child. You should send your children here. The kids here are amazing!!!!"
"I am completely honoured to take place as the next vice-principal at this superior college. Allow me to show my new invention, the school-inator! It will be used on the people that do not shave your hair In the tri-state area that this school will be renamed to. I cant wait to rule the school."
"I was a casual teacher at Pagewood before resigning in 2018 due to disrespect I endured from the students. Everytime I took a class, the boys would not listen to simple instructions and on many occasions I had to give the boys the cane. The worst thing I ever witness while teaching was a year 11 kid pull out his billy, he offered if I wanted a hit but I politely declined. . The boys at Champagnat take their education for granted and can't believe their parents send them here for them to only act like little gremlins. Honestly not the worst school I have worked at but certainly has a lot of areas improve in. Overall I would give it a 6/10."
"Wish i put my son to south Sydney like my daughter who got better assistance with learning. Angry i paid so much for poor performance and lack of support from teachers. this has resulted in enrolling him into another school and repeating a year. I agree with other comments that there appearance is more important than providing an education for all boys Changing headmasters Don't and wont change your reputation"
