Just Italy - Oakleigh

"During the covid lockdowns our neighbors had delivery from Just Italy and offered us a few of their products which were very good so we have been keen to eat here ever since. The place is very homely. Full of lots of products from sauces, pastas and condiments you can take home. They have a nice wine list with nearly everything available by the glass. I had a pasta with the 'Just Italy' sauce. Fantastic. My wife had the lasagna which was very good , but in our opinion needed more beef and less tomato. The lady that i think is the manager asked our opinion and took on our feedback which we thought was really good. Great coffee and good service too. A very , very good local Italian that I know we will return to very soon. Back today for our 2nd visit. They took onboard our feedback and altered the lasagna recipe....how great is that..! My wife's ravioli with sage and butter sauce was one of the best we have ever had (I pinched quite a few) but the dessert of lemon gelato and coffee creama were absolutely fantastic....."

"Despite a small restaurant and can be warm when sit inside during this time of the year. However, the food is so authentic and I definitely loved the how cooking style of the aglio olio , sausage, ham and peppers pizza and my all time favourite calamari with rocket salad. Service is fantastic but food is rather too much for one pax! Do share undress you have big stomach! Love the friendliness of the waitresses and looks like they all worked under one family !"

"My girlfriend and I absolutely love this place! A hidden gem in Oakleigh! Such a cute, cozy atmosphere filled with authenticity and traditional Italian culture which we love. Staff members are extremely friendly and very chatty, even in Italian! The food and coffee is incredible, and made with such care and sophistication. On top of this, you're able to buy the pasta, their sauces and other ingredients they use and use it in your own cooking at home. If you want to avoid the other places in the area that are much more expensive and of lesser quality, this is the place to go. One of the best Italian spots in the south-east!"

"Manuel and Alex are so lovely! Always friendly and always with a smile. The great banter here makes this Just Italy so special. Staff are warm and the food (And alcohol) here warms you even more. The best dish we have had was on the specials a seafood soup? It was superb! Don't be shy and ask the staff what is the best, you will get looked after. The tiramisu here is on cue and there is nothing better than limoncello to wash down the trap after a good meal. Booking is neccessary for the bigger groups. I wouldn't recommend babies or young children as there isn't much space for baby chairs etc."
