In the first three years of study at the School of Practical Philosophy, students delve into the topics of wisdom, happiness, and love - the heart of philosophy. The second year explores freedom, presence of mind, and the way of action, collectively known as the aim of philosophy. We believe that every human being possesses a body for action, a heart for feeling, and a mind for thinking, and our courses aim to refine and liberate these aspects.

Our commitment to simplicity is reflected in our meditation practice, which has remained unchanged for over fifty years. This authentic and utterly simple practice can be easily learned and integrated into daily life. The School received meditation instruction and guidance from Śrī Śāntānanda Saraswatī, the Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, the head of the Advaita Tradition in Northern India.
