About St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park
Welcome to St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park, a vibrant educational institution located at Jardine Drive, 130-150, in the heart of Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, primary school, and secondary school, we are proud to offer a comprehensive education in the Edmund Rice tradition, serving students from Kindergarten to Year 12 starting in 2022.
St. Francis Catholic College is an exciting partnership between the Diocese of Wollongong and Edmund Rice Education Australia. Our college caters to the rapidly developing community of Edmondson Park, as well as neighboring regions and the parish of Mary, Mother of Church in Macquarie Fields. By joining our Catholic community, your children will be nurtured and guided from preschool to successful adulthood.
Our college is being built in several stages and currently boasts state-of-the-art facilities in Science, Technologies, Creative & Performing Arts, and PDHPE. With a projected capacity of 1700 students, we are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment. In line with our patron saint, St. Francis, who is the patron saint of ecology, our college has been designed to be ecologically sustainable, utilizing solar and water retention technology.

At St Francis Catholic College, we understand the importance of social and emotional well-being. That's why we are proud to collaborate with CatholicCare Wollongong, the official welfare agency of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Wollongong. Their mission aligns with ours, as they strive to enable the well-being of communities, families, and individuals in the region.
We also prioritize online safety, and that's where the Office of the eSafety Commissioner comes in. Committed to empowering all Australians to have safer and more positive experiences online, the Office coordinates and leads online safety efforts across government, industry, and the not-for-profit community. They provide valuable resources and content for various audiences, including young people, women, teachers, parents, seniors, and community groups.
As part of the Diocese of Wollongong, we are proud to be one of eleven Dioceses in the state of New South Wales. Our diocese extends from the South-Western suburbs of Camden and Campbelltown down the picturesque Illawarra coast to the Shoalhaven region, encompassing towns like Milton-Ulladulla. Additionally, our western region includes the charming Southern Highlands townships of Bowral, Moss Vale, and Mittagong.
As an EREA school, we strive to offer a liberating education based on gospel spirituality within an inclusive community committed to justice and solidarity. Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) is a network of schools, entities, and offices that provide a Catholic education in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice.
Lastly, we are blessed to have the support and guidance of the Mary Mother of God Parish in Macquarie Fields. This Christ-centered Catholic community is dedicated to living Gospel values and fostering a welcoming atmosphere where everyone's gifts are valued and respected.
At St Francis Catholic College, we invite you to join us on this educational journey, where we prioritize holistic development, spiritual growth, and academic excellence. Together, let's build a brighter future for our children and our community.

Reviews of St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park
"This school is a nice place, but should only be a 7-12 school."
"It is a good school that is being developed. Though it really depends on how your experience is if you spend time in the school as a student or opionion of school rules (e.g. uniform policy, diary ect) as a parent. The school is mostly positive though. Positives - Tidy Classrooms - Easy to make friends. - Workstations available. Negatives -Playground is usaully dirty. -The school is not fully built. (eg, having to walk to one class to another) -Unifrom can be considered expensive. Overall its a good school, just make sure you are good with your teachers and if you can friends, then you should be fine. There are more positives and negatives listed but these are some of the significant ones. I won't list any of the teachers or assesments since it depends on the person. The school of course is developing and hopefully will improve."
"This school is so bad, the teachers yell at you for no reason, The teachers make your life miserable. So much for “open hearts, open minds” the school I doing the complete opposite."
"The school is excellent overall. St. Francis Catholic College makes the claim to be a diverse school at one time, yet it restricts students from wearing cultural henna or bracelets. In the past, there has been an incident that a teacher has cut a student's culturally significant bracelet, but the cause for this has not been made public. Furthermore, it is ridiculous that although teachers are seen strolling around with brightly or dyed coloured hair, their hair out, and coming to work with acrylic nails, we students are not permitted to do any of these things. I am confident that this is wrong because when students do it, they are given the explanation "Your hair is distracting me" or "Thats a warning, you are to remove them by tomorrow or next week."I believe that teachers and students should follow the same rules otherwise, kids would find ways to do things to avoid getting caught. Uniforms are quite expensive, which is reasonable as it is a private school. Everything is alright, expect for the following mentioned above."
