"The store is big and in a good spot but there isn’t a great atmosphere in there, the staff never seem particularly happy, and today I overheard the manager (assumed because she was talking about rosters) being quite rude to one of the team. It was quite uncomfortable to hear and inappropriate to not have that sort of conversation in private - or at least away from customers and the rest of the team. She didn’t seem at all concerned or make any moves to move the conversation. I hope the team isn’t spoken to that way often, it really would not be a pleasant place to work if they are."

"I went into this store today. Not one staff member said even hello, I was the only person in the store at 4 pm. The ladies were just behind the counter chatting. Would have liked to try another size in 2 styles I was trying on."

"A few weeks ago, I wanted to exchange a pair of boots that I had purchased with a discount. I specifically asked if the discount would carry over to the exchanged item. And I was told that as long as I spent the same amount, the discount would be carried over. This staff member was very helpful and even organised for the item that I wanted to purchase to be transferred to the mosman store. She asked me to come back once the transferred item arrived and then the exchange would be organised, and the discount would definitely be transferred over. When I came back, it was different staff working, and the manager refused to honour the discount. I'm not one to argue, so I just agreed to lose the discount, and paid the difference. However, I am disappointed at the lack of communication, and inconsistency between staff. And I'm also disappointed that as a platinum rewards member that spends thousands of dollars per year at country road, that I didn't receive a higher level of customer care and consideration."

"Just had the strange experience of having the store manager chase up to me on the front steps to check my purchase ... apparently because it may have dinged (I didn't hear it)... That's ok, I understand... but what wasn't ok was having her go through the (bag) in public ... then not apologising or offering to re-wrap the items I'd just purchased - a gift for my wife. Pretty odd and off-putting behaviour, especially since the young lady who served me was so nice. Don't they train managers to handle these events more appropriately?"
