At The Hills Drama School, we offer a range of classes throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to explore techniques for both stage and screen. Parents, guardians, and carers can apply for a voucher worth up to $100 per calendar year for each student aged 4.5 to 18 years old. Each term at The Hills Drama School focuses on different aspects of acting. In Term 1, students will engage in creative writing, where they will write a ten-minute play based on improvisation and storytelling. This play will then be submitted into a stage competition.

In Term 2, students will work on stage performance, where they will have the opportunity to perform their ten-minute plays in a stage competition. This term will be dedicated to creating characters and preparing for the stage.

Term 3 focuses on film, where students will learn acting for the camera. By the end of the term, they will create their own film, commercial, music video, or other projects.

Lastly, in Term 4, students will showcase their best work on stage in front of family and friends. This end-of-year showcase allows students to demonstrate their growth and talent.

Our acting classes involve a variety of activities, including storytelling, improvisation games and exercises, group devised scenes, acting for stage and camera, and performance presentation. We also offer script study, monologues, audition techniques, voice and movement development, and private tuition for those who prefer one-on-one instruction.

For children, parents are welcome to sit in on the lessons to fully understand what is being taught and support their child's learning experience. Additionally, we offer various workshops for children and teens during school holiday periods, giving them a chance to further explore their creativity.
