"Car park is big but annoyingly designed. Supermarket itself is good. Full sized with good product range and friendly and helpful staff."
"Mostly all helpful staff except for a very very bad few. I used to work as a Woolies team member and hence am speaking from experience dealing with the dynamic of how things work at a Woolies store. The store closes at 10pm on most days, but for some reason they roll down the entrance shutter all the way at about 9 to 9:15pm everyday. Any reason for that other than to deter customers from entering? Not sure if its a new policy but when I worked in customer service at Woolies we were told to roll down the entrance shutter only 'halfway' about 15-20 minutes before closing, and all the way down only at closing. The produce department is terrible here. Beware of the fruit refrigerators at the entrance; the product being sold in them is very often bad and the produce staff do not seem to care, they just mark them as 'on special'. I have even found worms in raspberries from here a couple of times. There's a young short woman at the service desk/customer service who is very rude and oblivious about the fresh or free policy. There have been a few times when I have taken fruit home and they've turned out to be bad or were frozen because they cant seem to fix the refrigeration. I usually head here after my 9 to 5 and my gym sesh, so at about 8 pm and have brought it to the attention of this young lady and her reply was - ''get the spoilt fruit back with you for an exchange''. Am I expected to carry around a box of mouldy strawberries the entire day? Not to mention she did not seem to know about the fresh policy. The deli, my favorite! Dont expect to be served anytime soon if you're here after 8pm. The tall lanky guy who usually works closing will pretend like you do not exist and continue cleaning the meat slicer. I do however like the little older lady working there, always has a smile on here face! EDIT - They shut the deli at 8 now even though the store closes at 10. Another point about the deli. Hot food is not supposed to be sold past four hours from when it comes out of the oven. The staff are supposed to note down the times in the hot food book that they have and get rid of stuff accordingly. I have found food wayyy past the 4 hour mark still being sold here at times. They just mark them as quick sale. As for availability of products they usually have everything that I need. All in all, an average store because of the bad customer service I have experienced a number of times at the hands of a few."
"On 27/04 Thursday at 1:30pm. There are two staffs were very rude and not helpful at all. One seems like supervisor works at the counter and another one at self-check out, they were chatting while I got told they can’t help me at express check out because my trolly was too full. I’m quite shocked that at such big supermarket customer with full trolley of stuffs but no cashier open at all. At the self-check out, I didn’t know the price sticker changed from barcode to QR so I asked self-check out staff how can I scan it as I scanned but it didn’t work. She pointed at the QR sticker said to me with very rude tone ‘what is that?’ She didn’t show her profession of customer service and show no respect!"
"BEWARE: "1/2 PRICE" and "SPECIAL" bait advertising scammers. (See photos - advertised discounts intentionally not honored). Between February and April 2023 Irrawarra Granola was hard to come by and the nearest store that had supplies was this particular Woolworths store in Oakleigh. When I got there I couldn't find the product on the shelves but as i walked away in despair I found them on a trolley placed directly under a large 1/2 PRICE sign at the end of the aisle. I grabbed two packets thinking I was getting a good deal. When I got to the scanner I was charged full price. When I complained, I was told in no uncertain terms that the item was not half price at all, even after I showed them the product placement directly under the 1/2 PRICE sign. I successfully complained to the Woolworths head office and got a $30 voucher, but on my next trip 2 weeks later the same thing happened. This time the late night checkout assistant accepted that the price was wrong and gave me the 1st packet free and the second at the advertised 1/2 PRICE. Yesterday I returned yet again to find the same items at the end of the same aisle now advertised under a "SPECIAL" sign, but at the register the full price was again charged (ie. not on special). I had to politely argue my legal rights under Australian Consumer Law to two belligerent male staff while a sadistic female customer tried to join in the argumentative staff's ridicule of the assertion of my lawful rights under ACL with ridicule of her own. So this time I'm posting the photos here for all to see, including the idiot woman who publicly ridiculed me for claiming an entitlement under Woolworths price policy. Despite this store being told on three separate occasions (including by the head office) that this is bait advertising, they still do it. That is no mistake but shows a clear intent to deceive customers. The persons responsible for this blatant bait advertising therefore need to be shown the door."
"Most people are amazing there, lovely staff and very friendly. There is however one manager that is seems quite rude to the staff. She is constantly snapping at them over very small things, even when they've done the correct thing. I generally only see her there on a Sunday, i'm not sure on other days but I would avoid her like she is a plaque!"
