Woolworths Metro Prahran

"This renovated Woolworths is better than the nearby Coles and way better than Aldi. Staff at Woolies are mostly friendly and some know regular shoppers by name. The only annoyance is this Woolies carries a smaller range than QV Centre (Melbourne 3000), St Kilda (3182), South Yarra (3141) or Malvern Central that's in Armadale (3143)."

"I had a terrible experience at the store in Prahran with a security’s person at the entrance. I was ask to check my bag and I willingly open my bag and show the content and mentioned that the items that I had were from Aldi. I just had in my bag 2 boxes of eggs and 1 salmon box. The security guard ask me if I had the receipt and I mentioned that I didn’t had it and and I mentioned that the brand of the egg and the salmon were not from Woolworth that they were actually from Aldi. He didn’t say anything and then I keep walking. Then the security guard start yelling at me and following me to the door and ask me again to check the bag and put his hands inside of my bag and star taking the content out of my bag. This was extremely invasive and embarrassing!"

"If the security guard wants to approach the customer once they have paid for their items and look through their bag - they should at least not be on their phone when the customer walks into the store - so that they are congnisant of the fact that the customer has walked in with previous shopping. In this day and age, when reusable bags are encouraged and when people are shopping in more than one establishment, a scenario where the customer has previous shopping with them when they enter the store is not unusual. If the security guard is alert when the customer walks in, they would be aware of this. The first item that entered my reusable back in Woolworths was after I exchanged money for items at the register. If security guards want to interrogate customers, at least be focused on what they walk into the store with. Coles will be my preference from now on."

"Today I experienced the obvious and at times blatant way Woolworths uses psychology on their customers to trick them into spending more money, you can see in the photo all the "low price" stickers which only repeat the original price listed on the products. when I questioned staff they spoke to their manager at 12:09pm who stated the prices are going to go up in the future so they are low prices. What kind of a response is this? This a sneaky tactic to get customers to spend more money. #alwayschecktheoriginalprice"
