"placed a click and collect order 1 day ahead. their policy said “ any items n/a, they substitute with items with better value but out of my 11 items, 10 were not available and they replaced with their home brand product, the amount of money i paid was 3times more than the items they substituted. i refused to take a substituted product and the response i got was apply for refund. when i went online, it was a hectic process. they refused me a refund and told me that store and online ordering is different and store manager cant make decisions about refund. never gonna order online from wollies again"

"Just moved to this neighbourhood and ordered my first click & collect in this store without checking their reviews online (my bad!) However, we had to stand there and wait for a good 15mins for the employees to only pack our items upon our arrivals… We wanted to grab a few things since we were already there but the lines were so long and no self check out counters were provided, worst outlet I’ve ever been. Apparently there’s another store just down in Albert Street that’s much better and I’ll check that out."
"You'd expect a large retailer to set benchmarks across all their stores. Woolworths, located in Barkly Square, seems to have missed the brief. Locals know this and steer clear at all costs. Compare the weekend foot traffic between the two supermarkets in Barkly Square to make your own conclusions. You'll see people fighting through crowded Coles aisles rather than go to the neighbouring Woolworths. The store is old and hasn't seen a refurb in many years. Why go here when there are so many clean, new supermarkets on offer? Aside Coles, Aldi is nearby and there's a great discount store across Sydney Road. There is no self service. This must be the last store in all of Melbourne without self checkout. It wouldn't be so bad if the staff were keen and efficient. Unfortunately, many of them have no urgency, so getting stuck in a slow-moving line is the norm. This is especially true in the "express lane". I pity the fool who ventures into this store around Xmas and other holidays. This Woolworths needs an overhaul and the head office should listen. The coin they're losing to their arch rival is huge."
