"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sosta Cucina in North Melbourne, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our work dinner took place on the 7th of June 2023, and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere and ambiance of Sosta Cucina were warm and welcoming. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting interior, perfect for an enjoyable evening. The friendly staff made us feel right at home, adding to the overall positive vibe. I must mention the outstanding service we received. Maurice and his team went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. They rolled out the red carpet, attending to our every need with attentiveness and professionalism. Their hospitality truly elevated our dining experience. My overall experience at Sosta Cucina was exceptional. The combination of welcoming ambiance, top-notch service from Maurice and his staff, and the delectable food made it a night to remember. I wholeheartedly give Sosta Cucina a 5-star rating on Google. It's a must-visit restaurant in North Melbourne, and I can't wait to return."

"We were looking forward to have some of the homemade pasta from this "old institution" that our friends were raving about ... Sure enough, their pasta, angel hair crab was cooked to perfection, so it should at $40.00 for a main serve (small) ... that was complemented by their Calamari, lightly doused flour, just right ... not sure about the rockets, more greens than the Calamari, but it's a great start. Next were the fish of the day and eggplant parmigiana ... while the fish serve was small, it was potent, just needed a bit of salt, pepper and lemon ... sadly the humagous serve $14.00 eggplant for was undercooked and rubbery, ate about a quarter of it ... Did they even bother to asked why we didn't eat it? NO .... That was the tone of the service throughout the evening. Everything seems to be just "too hard" from this "old institution" abrupt, tired looking service from the start, possibly the two owners, no waiting staff. When we arrived, we were given the food menu, no wine list nor drink menu, they don't even bother, luckily I did asked ... we even have to asked for water to be top-up ... Wine list by the glass is ordinary ... mostly Italians as it should be, no stand out at around $14.00 to $16.00/ glass. It was a good meal, for basically a 2 course plus a shared dessert ... however, it's not, "hey, let's go back here next week and try the rest of the menu" experience ... won't be raving about it to our friends ... and take them here ... Get some professional waiters and waitress who knows how to serve I reckon ..."

"The service by our waiter (I forget his name but he was an older gentleman) was phenomenal, attentive but not overbearing and made sure we were happy with everything. The food was delicious and cooked very well, I had steak medium rare and it was perfect! We got tiramisu for dessert and it was delectable. Definitely a place to check out for lovely Italian food in North Melbourne."
