Our founder and managing partner, Tom, brings over 23 years of experience in law and management, with 20 of those years at the helm of Sterling Legal. He is a Harvard Law School trained negotiator and is regularly consulted to advise and act for high net worth individuals, both in Australia and abroad. Tom has an enviable stable of clients and has notably acted as a mandate for Marina Picasso, the heir and granddaughter of the famed artist, Pablo Picasso, in a $300 million art deal where he spent time in Paris and Geneva.

In addition to his impressive track record, Tom has achieved considerable success in court. He recently won a multi-million dollar family law case, securing 85% of the matrimonial pool for his female client – one of the largest awards in the Family Court.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom is also a passionate advocate for community, social, and refugee justice. He is the Co-founder and Chairman of AusRelief and served as a Councillor on Cumberland Council until December 2021. Tom is also the co-founder and director of the Centre for Arbitration & the Resolution of Disputes (CARD), a former non-executive director of Chanel International Pty Ltd, and former President of the Lebanese Moslem Association (LMA). In recognition of his dedicated service to the law, local government, and the community, Tom was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on Australia Day in 2020.
