The new committee of the Friends of The Mechanics Institute is tirelessly working to promote live music performances at our hall. By becoming a member of the Friends for just $35.00, you not only support our efforts but also gain priority in seat selection for major shows. Your membership sends a powerful message that our community values and supports the arts in the mid mountains.

We are thrilled to announce that The Lawson Mechanics Institute will be hosting the highly anticipated Great Southern Nights event on Saturday, 2 April 2022. Thanks to the generous financial assistance from the NSW Government, Destinations NSW, and ARIA, this event promises to be a spectacular celebration of music and community.
We would also like to express our gratitude to our local Katoomba Bendigo Bank branch for their generous donation, which supports our public venue, The Mechanics Institute. Their contribution enables us to continue providing a welcoming space for artists and audiences alike.
