About Jamisontown Public School
Welcome to Jamisontown Public School, a vibrant and community-focused institution located in the beautiful municipality of Penrith at the base of the Blue Mountains in Sydney's west. As a primary school, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
At Jamisontown Public School, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff are passionate about creating engaging and innovative learning experiences that inspire our students to become lifelong learners. We strive to foster a love of learning and equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
As an establishment and point of interest in the community, we are committed to actively engaging parents and caregivers in their child's education. We understand the importance of strong partnerships between home and school, and we encourage parents to be actively involved in their child's learning journey. Whether it's through attending parent-teacher meetings, volunteering in the classroom, or participating in school events and activities, we value and appreciate the support of our parent community.
Education Week is a highlight on our school calendar, as we join in the annual celebration of NSW public education. This special event allows us to showcase the achievements of our schools, teachers, and students, and we take pride in the diverse range of talents and accomplishments within our school community. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of all those involved in providing quality education.
We also value the input and feedback of our parents and carers. The Department of Education regularly invites parents and carers to share their valuable insights and suggestions through a draft plan for NSW public education. We believe that by working together, we can continuously improve and provide the best possible educational experience for our students.
In acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land, we pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, and their elders past and present. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and culturally diverse school community that values and celebrates the rich heritage and contributions of all our students and families.

Reviews of Jamisontown Public School
"Great school packed with roaches and students who are mostly narcissists, would recommend this school if you don't want the teachers to do nothing but give them a lecture about verbal harm and physical harm to others. The canteen food is probably radioactive and got cooked by leftover charcoal literally some teachers brains just don't work and the students don't even follow the school rules. Overall the science teacher has to be the best teacher in the school. Also love how everyone is saying the school is great and there's no brutally honest reviews."
"they try deep fry me"
"i am fairly positive that the chicken nuggets in the canteen are radioactive, pretty cool school though."
"Very good School"
"My dream school i enjoyed all of my time present and the teachers where amazing and the students where a pleasure to be arround"
