One of our notable achievements is the successful audition of our Kurmond Public School Dance Group to perform at the prestigious Blue Mountains Nepean Public Schools Dance Festival. This exciting event will be held at the esteemed Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith in September this year. Our talented dancers will be performing an enchanting piece titled 'Dare to Dream'.

We also prioritize the development of leadership skills among our students. To prepare for the student elections in 2023, we organize a special day dedicated to teaching the necessary skills for becoming a good leader. Activities focusing on team building, public speaking, organizational skills, and responsibility are undertaken, and students have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of current school leaders.

In addition to these enriching experiences, our students also have the chance to explore the vibrant city of Sydney. Stage 2 students embark on an exciting excursion that includes a 2-hour Rocks Walking Tour and a visit to the historic Hyde Park Barracks. Meanwhile, our K-2 students get to visit Sydney Zoo at Bungarribee, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn about wildlife and conservation.

As an institution, we believe in acknowledging and respecting the traditional custodians of the land and paying our respects to Elders, both past and present.
